A small update! On the image above three different colored starfish on the sea floor are visible: A Green, Purple and Yellow one! Now I wanted to get all of these underneath the same thumbnail, but that wasn't possible unfortunately. They're all using exact the same texture where all three colors are visible on, but how the game decides which part of the texture to use isn't clear to me.
So these starfish will all three have their own thumbnail in the catalog.

Like expected, I didn't had any time this weekend to work on my new pack at all, but I did found some time today! So here are some images of a new object for the Reef Deco Pack: The Fan Coral!

As I said yesterday, I just made some screenshots of the Plate Corals in the ocean.
As can be seen, my recolors match perfectly with the Coral Reef Rock recolors I made. The last image is a screenshot of the Sulani Ocean, just so you can compare it with my version.
I do have to say that I removed the original Single Plate Coral recolor in my version to get a total of 8 recolors matching my Coral Reef Rock recolors a bit more. Although I do have a orange looking recolor too like could...

A small look on the second object that will be part of this Reef Deco Pack: The Single Plate Coral!
On the first image they're visible both on the foreground, the purple layered corals, as in the back just below the water surface, the orange ones. In the second image those orange ones and a few blue-ish ones are visible from the top.

It's another week with not that much time to mod because of appointments in RL, but today I had some time to finish the first object for the Reef Deco Pack I'm making at the moment.
It's the Brain Coral! On the first image you see the default size of this object with all it's shrinked versions. Then there's an image with all recolors I made for it. Hello everyone,
Already some inside on my next project which will again be something ocean related.
Only having the coral reef rocks isn't enough for making great ocean/aquarium floors. So for the next pack I will unlock, recolor and probably also resize a whole bunch of corals that can also be found in the Sulani sea if Sulani is in a healthy state.

Just to be clear, this coral reef is still a walk-through version, but I've made it non walk-through by adding plants and rocks around and in between it.
This way I want to show you that if you want to use them on the beach or in shallow water, you can still make your Sims to walk around them instead of straight through them.

On the image above you can see both Coral Reef Wall versions placed agains each other and shrinked down a bit with right underneath them a normal "floor" Coral Reef object.
The rocks surrounding the floor and wall coral reefs are two new rocks I've added to the "pack". These rocks can normally also be found in the Sulani ocean, but I shrinked them a bit and added the "dead recolor" to the healthy ones. I wasn't able to make new recolors, but I don't think it's really neccesary for these...

In the images above I used them to make some sort of see-through into to aquarium by placing a normal and mirrored version on each side of the window. As both objects are walk-through-able, I've also added an extra fence in front of the coral reef on the outside, so Sims won't walk straight through it.

I've also made some wall versions now! They won't automaticaly snap to walls, but will just fit when hovering them towards the walls of your pool for example.
These are also sunken into the ground a bit so you can add them in several different heights. Shrinking them down and choosing a different height also helps to make it look a bit different. Just as the other coral reefs on the ground, these are also walk-through, or in this case swim-over!

In the examples above you will see that these Raisable Coral Reefs can be perfectly used to make beautiful layered coral reefs in different heights en colors.
You can use plants or my Walk-through grasses to decorate them, but I can also already reveal that after this project I will work on some more ocean-looking decoration to combine with these coral reefs.

A small update on the coral reefs, there'won't be non-walk-through coral reefs for on the beaches. The reason for it, is because I just spend hours figuring out a way to make them actually work with Sims walking around them.
On the default size, everything is fine, but when shrinked down your Sims will keep using the route as if the original large footprint is still there, which looks ridiculous. So I will only focus on making coral reefs for in the oceans and swimming pools (wher...

Hi all,
For my next project, I'm going to try to make oceans, custom oceans and custom aquariums to look better with the ability to place coral reefs to them.
The coral reefs will be those who can also be seen in the Ocean of Sulani, but with additonal recolors. I will possibly also make them into raisable coral reefs, so you can have a bit of height difference on the ocean floor too.

There's a new feature on Patreon making it possible to upload multiple images in a Gallery, so I have to test it of course with a short series of sneak peek screenshots!

I get so happy when I see something like this in my game! An ocean like this near your house is far better then the empty sand ocean floors.
Just worked on the thumbnail already, but I'm not totally happy with the outcome yet.
It's not this image above by the way, as I need more focus on the Jellyfish instead of all other animals 😅 .

Something I forgot to mention in my former post, is that your Sims will also be able to swim through the floating invisible object. So floating in the ocean being a Sim with jellyfish all around you is possible.

Here's the thumbnail already that will be shown at the beginning of the video and which will be visible on my social networks. I think removing the snorkeling Sim + Buoy is better as it's all about the turtles in this thumbnail. I did left the sharks in it for more of an "ocean" feeling.
Hope this will become just as succesful as the Animated Chickens, but I guess as it's a water animal, less people will use it. Although my video will have an example of a smaller-sea-turtle-pond kind of...

Maybe a bit... This screenshot was taken in mid-air above the ocean so I can use it to make the thumbnail. So the colors of the sea turtles will be a bit less visible underwater.
But I really think EA/Maxis did a great job at creating the effect of multiple swimming turtles with this model. :)
