Pride 2024 Lines

This art is taking me a bit longer but that tends to happen with illustrations lol.

Question, do you guys like it when I post each stage of an art piece at a time like this or would you prefer I post all of them in one singular post like I used to?

I just worry about the posts being spammy.

Pride 2024 Sketch

I’m really liking it so far so not sure if I’ll make any changes before the final lines. (I was getting a little carried away with the detail)

I feel like the coloring process will take me the longest because that’s where I do the most experimenting but I still hope to finish it this week!

Pride Art Rough Draft

This is the idea I had for late pride art. I really wanted to draw the boys in some decorative looking shell armor/outfits.

Book 1 Cover Process

I actually had a lot of trouble with this first cover. There was a lot of back and forth with me and the team at Ten Speed. I was in a rut at the time so that didn’t help matters but the main issue was the first idea we came up with.

It was an illustration where kappa was caught up in a big torrent of fish and it was really cool but it had too much going on and looked very cluttered.

Season Finale

Hi guys! I’ve decided not to post previews for the final episode so it could be a complete surprise. It’s coming out on time this Sunday for fast pass readers so I hope you enjoy it! ;)

Now that I’ve finished up with season 3 I’m gonna work on some things for the next castle swimmer book and I’d also like to make a late pride drawing.

Return Date

I’m currently scheduled to resume uploads on May 25th/26th!

They actually announced on webtoon now that I would return on May 18th without my knowledge lol. So I’ve talked with my editor and they’re giving me an extra week since I had no idea I was returning.

General Update

Hi guys! Hope you’re all doing well!

I apologize for all the breaks and continued delays with the comic. At the moment I am working ahead so that the rest of season 3 will be finished before posting so that the comic can finish the season without any more delays since I’ve been struggling a lot with the schedule. (Also webtoon straight up would not let me return with only one episode and no buffer lol)

CS Vol 1

I finally get to show off the book! :) it’s release date got moved to this year so that’s why everything got so frantic and I had to race to get it ready lol. It was way more work and much more time consuming than I anticipated but I’m happy it’s finally revealed. There’s still a few more things I have to make for it but soon I’ll finally be able to work on episodes again.

Here are the most recent samples! I decided to keep the original three charm designs and I added some more shading and highlights to make them pop. Also decided to keep arp a bit smaller because I think he works better as a small charm (and it’s more fitting for him to be small next to siren and kappa)
