Assume good will

About 4 years ago I did a shoot with a photographer and didn't hear anything about my pictures from him. Me being insecure and non-confrontational , I didn't ask why as I assumed that they were all bad and that's why he didn't get back to me.

Fast forward to recently, he messaged and asked if I wanted to do a shoot with him. And I just replied politely that I wasn't interested because I didn't hear back from him from our last shoot so didn't want it to happen again. He apologized and ...

Maritime

Did you ever feel this. Astonished
by the blood drawn from
your arms when you took a step forward
and the air scraped you.

Maybe you think peace. Think it
as a floral carpet, a persistent scent
that is supposed to be
a memory you treasure. Only
it was put there by someone else.

When the sun hits
it feels like something.
Someone cooks soup.
You love a person you envy.
And the emotions wash
into a teacup
and you drink them
and your teeth a...

Fear

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Desire

If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.

Reprieve

A little breather from the shibari. There's something terrifying yet wondrous about these centuries old caves. With their own micro-climates, it's no wonder that time moves at a relatively slower rate here.

Caught in a web

Suddenly a movement in the corner of the room
And there is nothing I can do
When I realise with fright
That the spiderman is having me for dinner tonight.

Rivermouth

If you weren’t here, I’d fear the surge
of surf. I’d watch the moon wax and wane,
feel the constant pulling of tides, the urge
to drown myself in pity and booze, to explain
my life as “Cape Disappointment” with hard luck
spinning and winning souls like mine, a jetty
of riprap pointing to my faults, the muck
of my past too deep to dredge. But you say
you see in me a strength that strengthens you,
a heart that yearns for your heart and finds it,
upsetting...

Puppet

I felt like a live puppet during this shibari session at times! I kept my eyes closed so the sensory experience was all the more intense...

Longest beach walk

This beach went on for miles! I think it took us about 3-4 hours to walk it and it felt like a desert with the expanse of sand. Probably the biggest beach I've been to! Can anyone guess where?

Life is a privilege

Life is a privilege. Its youthful days
Shine with the radiance of continuous Mays.

Exploring caves

This cave was mind-blowing! The vastness and scale of it was enormous and everywhere we looked it seemed like a perfect backdrop for some awesome prehistoric movie.

Surrender

Always say “yes” to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to what already is? What could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to what is. Say “yes” to life — and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.

To love is to be vulnerable

To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is ...

Something in the water

You can usually tell I'm down South by the colour of the water... clear turquoise! Just stunning. I also do a lot of naked bouldering/climbing for these shoots, lol. It definitely comes in handy!

Alternative version - unedited

No filters, no edits - this is straight from Carlos' camera to the screen! We were shooting in a wonderful waterfall near his house in Westport... a hidden spot only locals knew about. Very special shoot with two of the men dearest to me. ❤️

No nature, just natural.

As the title says! Apart from the tattoos and piercings, I haven't had any plastic surgery on my body even though I've thought a lot about it at certain times in my life. I have nothing against surgeries, but I knew it would be a downward spiral if my mind wasn't healed. Now I embrace my natural body and have more self love and body confidence than ever in the past. I may still change my mind in the future but for now I'm happy with my body and grateful for what it can do than what it looks l...

Handstands are so fun! Really compliments my pole training as it's a lot of overhead pushing which I don't do much of in pole.
