*"shikishi" is a special type of square card paper used for writing poems and drawing illustrations. It is often used for autograph.

So, I picked up the image of "lantern". Whenever I hear the word, "lantern", I can't help but thinking about "chinese lantern". I guess it's because the Chinese movie from 1991 directed by Zhang Yimou, "Raise the Red Lantern (大紅灯篭高高掛)" is in my mind.

PRACTICING A STYLE

Practicing 2018-ish painting style. 

I've been trying to update my painting style into the current one.
Yes, to be honest, I've been trying. 

It's because, from my observation, the skill to draw an illustration as an established work, is required for manga creators in these days as well as the talent to create manga. 

"I want to read his manga, but also I am a big fan of his illustration, too!". 

That's the condition I've been pursueing.

THIS WEEK'S ONE HOUR DRAWING CHALLENGE (color version)

This week's One Hour Drawing Challenge. 

The subjects were, "wolfman" or "mummy".

I picked up "mummy". Here is my drawing.

Actually, it took way too long to make the basic idea of this work. Finally I packed up the idea around 11:30 PM. Then, made a rough flow within next 30 minutes. Then, it took exactly just one hour to draw the entire page. As I was not sure if I could say, "One Hour Drawing", I just posted the B/W version of this to my own twitter. THE WORK IN PROGRESS NOW

The manga I'm working on right now. This one is for the anthology that will be sold at Fuyu Comiket on 29th, December. It's about a college jock couple (rugby players) living in a same dorm. The guy with dyed hair (not bold one) has a huge cock and the bottom guy (bold one) is obviously having a hard time. That's the scene I'm working on now.

EXPERIMENTING "BRUTE"

I'm using 3DCG figure software, DAZStudio, as pose reference.
Yesterday, a brand-new figure, BRUTE, had joined.
Since I purchased his data, I've been experimenting him.
Strip him. Bend him. Twist him, such and such.
I love his face. Yes, I can defnitely use it for my inspiration, but his body...hmm.
