Tim Sale Tribute?

I drew this is July 2014. I was a big fan of Tim Sale’s style for Batman, and loved The Long Halloween and Dark Victory. I’d wanted to revisit his style and while the current circumstances for thinking about his art isn’t the best (though the release of that Long Halloween animated movie last year was also pretty dire) I’d like to maybe explore it again. Hera Part 1

Finding the balance is hard so what was supposed to come out yesterday is here now, and what was to be here today shall be here tomorrow. Drawing takes a while. I'm doing a few other Twi'leks, maybe one in pink, one in blue, a different red, we shall see.

Shaak Ti on Felucia

Okay, today I could draw.

Finally got to draw that striking design, this was fun. I noticed Shaak has white palms, almost like the red is the pigmentation and is lacking on the palms, so that was good to include. Also once I figured out her face she was easier to pin down (follow tags to see) so yes. Red lady down. Or rather she will be.

Edit: Now with progress sketches showing the design I settled on, the line art without colour, details on the hand, and a final version.

Clone Wars Shaak Ti

Art has been a struggle the last few days, with other stresses piling up, setting about to do the Shaak Ti poll winner proved unsuccessful so I tried The Clone Wars style but even that didn’t work out.

So, Clone Wars style. I hope this week I can get into a better frame of mind for drawing and then produce the realistic work I intended. This piece, a bit stiff, but it’s something.

An Update For June

June already? Wow.

Commissions and that will go ahead but I will launch them in the second or maybe third week, given I’ve just done the last batch, needs a bit of a break. Various poll and request winners like the Emporium pose for Black Widow, and Shaak Ti shall be drawn, along with a few other polls for other characters. Expect some new Emporium, some more of the OCs like the new girl, and other random things that take my fancy.

Ball whacking and a SW lady - sketched

So this is the move from hell*, the Fam has a lot of junk, and living so far away now the drove to and from just worsens the ordeal. Tomorrow should hopefully see the end of it. Then again, today was supposed to see the end of it.

I have sketched some stuff recently. Try a Harley Quinn with something extra, undergoing some CBT techniques not even she was familiar with. Next, a SW lady, hope to get that done soon.

Quickish Update

Hopefully moving this month, no official confirmation yet but sooner, rather than later. Requests and commissioners will be done when the move is done.  Will hold some polls and such in the meantime and decide what to do about requests in the meantime. 

SW stuff tomorrow because May the 4th crept up on me. Working to finish another Peggy Carter I started in 2019.
