Finn is great in TFA but his costume is a little bland. Makes sense considering the context but they could’ve livened it up a bit and made it more striking. Firstly keeping some armour from the stormtrooper, not much but enough to keep him protected (although considering he’s a defector he’s not wanting to be spotted) and give him a kind of rough scavenger/bounty hunter look. An edit of a piece I did a few days ago because SOME busybodies- I mean morons- I mean redditors- I MEAN concerned individuals thought I'd drawn someone younger than 18. I hadn't. I drew this before I saw the episode fully and knew how old she was depicted, and even then it was intended to be her in the style of the show and not set during the era. So, it is unquestionably Hera of the Rebels era, 25+. If they don't like that they can stick it in their pipe and smoke it.

For a long time I've experimented with the styles of the Star Wars animated series, rendering characters from each in opposing styles, transferring the live action to animation. Hera Syndulla is a long time favourite of mine from Rebels, and one I can't be sure if I got around to. Tonight's Bad Batch answered the question for me. To the first of many.
