70’s Month Contest!

December and 2020 has nearly drawn to a close, but I’ve only managed to delve into that theme month once. While I have some ideas for art to do, I could always do with more...

Winner of the poll a few months back, I had to put this pic aside a bit when I wanted to draw that armour properly. Preordered that action figure for May delivery to help the reflections and all, but that got held up, I moved on, forgot about it, always having it in the back of my mind.

...So now what? Might make something new. Enjoy this in the meantime.

Rey Tracing On/Off

So I had this idea a few months back and well it seems as though the results weren’t quite as conclusive as I‘d expected. Tracing as a practise in art is largely frowned upon, I personally think it can be used as a tool to aide in learning to draw, confidence in pen use (as someone with coordination issues, developing those skills are essential) in terms of shape and form.

I was shocked when I learned several big artists I admired were tracers themselves, in professional or fan...

Nightsister Merrin Aerial Silks

Something a little more teasing. Finally played Fallen Order last week, really enjoyed it, and was pleasantly surprised as there were some things I didn't see coming, and now having full context for characters and such. Anyway, I don't quite know how I got to this point but maybe it was remembering the Nightsister outfits in The Clone Wars, a lot simpler than Merrin's robes in the game, and some acrobatics pictures and splits and tight clothes...anyway, there you go.

A FinnRey Comic - Alone No More (Part 1)

This time of year has been Star Wars movie time since 2015. While The Mandalorian has been airing each week, the sequel trilogy seems all but forgotten, so I decided it was time to return to that galaxy with a little comic, a sequel to TROS, to patch things up. This isn’t the sequel to The Reunion, that’s still a Patreon stretch goal, but this is something to tide as over, and an experiment for future stories.

Carrie/ Frog - Smokey and the Bandit
