Early Rey concepts

As the title says, these early concepts were the start of planning for The Trade at the beginning of this year, from Rey herself to ships, and one of the other characters.

Rey page 1 Coloured

Colour. The rest of the comic shall look like this, but there won't be any further updates for a while as I try to complete about half of the pages before I start posting. This will be some time in the next month.

In the mean time as I work on this in the background, back to the regular artwork :)

Rey page 1, preview

May I present, a preview for page one, which is currently being coloured and should be available soon. "Where's the sex?" you may ask. Well the story has to start somehow. This is the calm before the storm.

"Somewhere in the blazing sands of Jakku, a lone scavenger searches a long downed X-Wing fighter for scraps."

"Prising the sand damaged cockpit open, young Rey steps up to survey her find..."

"I'm going to bed hungry tonight then."

One of Rey's many problems on Jakku. It's rough, course, and dry. It kills all moisture, which is the one thing Rey craves.

What would you like to see next?

To my, as of the time of posting this, one $5 patron, I present to you my first art poll. I have a lot of characters I'd like to draw so I'm opening it up to you as to what comes next. These options are vague as they list only the characters, the scenarios are somewhat secret, ranging from simple pinups to something more explicit.

Victoria shaved

Just a minor addition, or rather, a minor subtraction, that being the hair. Though I do like the addition of the bush from the main picture, this one is still fun.

(It’s funny because Melbourne is in Victoria in Australia, it’s the capital city of the state)

Victoria was ever so grateful for Lord Melbourne’s presence in her early days as Queen, ready to help her when needed with her royal duties or politics. Yet she craved his help in another way, and one day he obliged her. The people would talk and spread rumours, yet they’d never know it happened for certain.

This is the dirtier version of this piece.

Rey Sneak Peak

Thank you heaps to Nemo42, my first patron. As a thank you, a piece that won't be posted for quite some time, but one the initial sketches for the Rey comic when I first started planning it back in January. Whether this piece makes it into the final comic remains to be seen.

The first of a few alternate versions is rather simple, it's just black and white, though it does add something to the piece I feel, and harkens back to the Esquire shoot Clarke did

High resolution version of the default image. A few days late, but drawn to sign off series 7. Well since 7 finished last week, this is the satisfy your Game of Thrones deprivation needs.
