Desert Beauty

This photo really doesn't show how high Bree actually was for this shot.  It was about 100 feet off the ground from the backside of the ridge.  I often wonder what do people think when they see a naked woman standing up on the ridgeline.  I know that we've been seen by some folks that are hiking.  I once saw a woman and her husband walking up a hillside near where we were shooting.  The woman saw us and basically told her husband to not look in our direction, or else. :-...

A behind the scenes photo of Bree climbing, yes climbing, to a location where she wanted me to shoot her.  Many of the models I work with love to do outdoor shoots, because they're in a studio most of the time.  They come up with some great ideas as to where they want to pose.  I just have to stand down below and worry about them.  And yes some of them have gotten in what I would consider precarious spots.  No broken bones yet, knock on wood.

I like shooting at this location.  You have several choices from harsh outside sun to muted cave lighting. Bree looks beautiful in all of it.  I once told her that I'm really intimidated when I shoot with her.  She's so beautiful that everyone will know that it's the photog's fault if a photo doesn't turn out :-)

Bree and I spent the day in one of my favorite spots in the Gold Butte National Monument desert.  The scenery almost matches her beauty.  I've shot with her in the desert and the forests of the Pacific Northwest.  She's at home in any location.

Bree's been modelling for about 12 years and keeps saying she's going to retire.  I've shot with her several times.  I think she's getting better.

As you know I shoot with some of the most beautiful women in the world.  Bree is no exception to this rule.  She's extremely beautiful and talented as a model.  It is a real joy to work with her.

Pure Rebel

Last photo for now, but again there are a lot more from this shoot that I'll make available as time permits.

Thanks again for following me.

I like the framing of the rock wall and Rebel here.  I wish the background was a little darker though.

Although I personally think that you can't beat the contrast between a model and the blue sky, I also like the contrast of smooth skin and rough textured rock walls.  Again a girl just has to keep those boots on. :-))

This illustrates the size of the shiv a little better.  While Rebel and I were shooting here, another model came up and told Rebel how much she admired and looked up to her, and how much Rebel had helped her in the modeling business.

One prop at this location is a large shiv for a mine headframe.  Basically the wire cable goes over the shiv and hoists men and ore up the shaft.  I liked the scale of the shiv and how it really allows the model to get creative with her poses.  It's the mining engineer in me coming out I guess.

If you've followed me here or on Flickr, you also know I tend to favor this type of photo.  Using the model as a canvas to paint shadows from adjacent trees.

Rebel is someone I had wanted to shoot with for quite a long time.  She is a mentor to fellow travelling art nude models and the consumate professional.  I've lucked out over my photography career in that I've worked with some of the very best models in the business.  Rebel is one of them.  I really like how the roughness of the wood contrasts with the models' skin at this spot.  You can also see that a girl just has to keep her boots on :-))

If you have been following along, you know that I attended an event in Arizona last November at an abandoned mining town.  There I finally met and got to shoot with Pure Rebel.  These next few photos are a result of our collaboration.

You can see the vehicles on the horizon in this photo.  The salt flats are just that ....... flat.  Our three models for this event were Dasha Usova, Kira Floofie, and Glass Olive.  I've shot with all of them, and they are all a joy to work with, not to mention beautiful.

While we were shooting they had a time trial going on behind us for land speed records.  Usually you can drive onto the salt flats, but not this day with vehicles running in excess of 250 MPH behind us.  You can see them being staged in a few of the photos.

Last September I had the opportunity of working with these three great women for three days throughout Utah.  These photos are the result.  I hope you enjoy.

Jin N Tonic

Just a close up of this very beautiful woman.  This is the last one for now.  Jin is on Patreon and has embarked on a world wide tour.  Find her page and follow her.  Thanks once again for following me and if there's any particular model you'd like to see more of drop me a line.

I appreciate all of you following me and enjoying my photography.  This post is mid-week but I'm trying to make up for lost time, when I was out of internet range a couple of weeks ago. ...

This post wouldn't be complete without a skyclad nude of Jin standing on rocks at the headframe.  For those of you not familiar with mining terminology, the headframe is where the ore and men are lifted from the mine.

This was taken in front of a stone kiln used to melt ore and concentrate the gold and silver.

While the Rolling Stones tune "Gimme Shelter" is still rolling around in your heads, Jin and I spent a couple of hours shooting at an abandoned mining town in Arizona in November.  Those of you that know me well know that I like painting shadows on the nude bodies of my models.  Jin was no exception.  I like how the patterns play across her breasts and face in this one.  Some say it takes away from the model.  I say that she provides a lovely easel.

She is a very beautiful and fearless woman.  You can go onto U-tube and watch a video of her walking around New York topless to illustrate that its perfectly legal to do so.  IMHO, perhaps not the safest thing to do unless you're accompanied by a video crew :-)  I've shot with a model that told me she had shot some nudes while on the subway, but had a full bodyguard crew while she did it.

And before any of you say it, Marilyn Monroe looks like Jin.  I know you're thinking i...

I know I've posted this photo before, but I thought I'd start off this set with something that I can make visible to the world.  Jin and I used to live close to one another, within a half day drive, which in the west is close to one another.  She moved to the west coast, but we still live close to one another since I live near Las Vegas half the year.  We never got to shoot with one another until last fall when we both attended the Arizona Shoot Out.

Last one for now.  Like I said, there were numerous sets to shoot in and Allie pretty much rocked them all.  I hope you enjoyed this set and I look forward to uploading more photos and interacting with you all in the future.
