I met her at one of my favorite locations near where I live.  It is an old movie set used during the filming of the movie Shane.  It's pretty ramshackle now but still provides some interesting backdrops.

Lillias and KayJay - Bonus Photos

Here's the second of the bonus photos for Patrons pledging $5 per month or more.  You support is very much appreciated.  After we had finished shooting in the desert, we stopped by an abandoned cement plant and shot a few more photos before saying goodbye.  Lillias and KayJay were on a tight schedule, but I'm glad we were finally able to connect.

The area we selected to shoot in was full of small grottos and amazing rock formations.  The two women were also amazing.

We had company so we had to move to an area with small caves which was out of sight of the tourists that stopped by.

We spent the afternoon shooting at one of my favorite top secret locations in the Nevada desert.

Last November I attended the Arizona Shootout which is held at a ghost town location outside of Wickenburg, AZ.  I finally got to meet Lillias in person (She and I had been texting about a shoot for a while) and shoot with her at the shootout.  She is talented, beautiful, and a great joy to shoot with.  After the shootout she and KayJay were headed to the Pacific Northwest to some bookings they had arranged there.  I booked them to shoot with me for a half day on their way th...

The rocks were very cold.  This was taken about noon, just before the wind came up.  We would soon be searching for areas out of the wind.

Just before this shoot, Brittany had changed her hair color from blonde (natural) to this pastel pink color and had gone back to her bangs.  I think she wears both well.

You can see what a grey day it was.  Little to no sun all day long.  It really got cold when the wind came up, but we powered through it.

People are always asking how I find my models and it's usually them being referred by other models.  In this case I was shooting with a model I work with a lot and stumbled on another photographer I know shooting with Brittany at a top secret location in the Nevada desert.  I got her contact information and became friends with her on another social media site.  We eventually booked this shoot.  The wind made it a very cold day but Bittany was a trooper and braved the elements...

Last one for now.  Another shady location.  I particularly like how Dasha's shape conforms with the shape of the rock in this one.  She is extremely graceful.

Another spot at this location and since the breeze was coming up we shot with some fabric.  I have red, black, and white depending on the scene.  Red worked best here I thought.

Another location.  I particularly like how the lines in the rock lead to the model and are framed by her arms.  The highlight in her hair is nice as well.

Another shot in the little cavern, this one of Dasha standing.  You can get a perspective of how small the cavern was and in the upper left you can see how bright it was.

When we arrived at the locations, the sun was very bright and we sought out shaded locations to shoot in because of the lighting conditions.  I like how the walls of this little cavern frame the subject.

Candace - Modelographer

Chimping the shot.  Something you really don't need to do in a studio setting since the light is set up and pretty constant, but IMHO a necessity when you're shooting outside.  The sun is so variable.  You can shoot several shots when you get to where you think you're close.  Set your screen to show the histogram and learn what your screen shows versus what will show up on the computer.  Remember too that not all computer screens are equal.  Candace and I were shoot...

Candace is not only a beautiful model but also a very successful photographer.  And on top of everything else she shoots Canon.  It was great shooting with and working alongside her and comparing the shots we both got.  It was also great being able to review shots with a fellow photographer and get instantaneous feedback.

Candace - Unhappy Face

This is the look you get when you wake a model up at o-dark-thirty to get her makeup on and travel to the location to shoot.  Get there and the temperature is 30-friggin degrees.  I'll be posting more of this shoot and others in the weeks and months to come.  I hope you've enjoyed this series.  If so let your friends know.  Thank you all for your support.

Candace Wallpaper

This is the previous photo converted to landscape which will be the first wallpaper selection for my Patreon members.  I didn't know whether or not you all would appreciate a more explicit photo for the wallpaper.  Let me know in the comments section whether or not you would like a more explicit photo for the wallpaper posts.

Dancing in the forest just before we called it a day and went home, Candace to California, and me to Wyoming.  We spent four days together in several wonderful locations from Northern to Southern Utah.

This was the fourth and last day of shooting this particular series.  Candace had gotten up early to put on her makeup and get ready.  When we got here, the temperature was just above freezing and the sun was just peeking over the horizon.  I really like the highlights in her hair.  It was a public hiking trail right next to Salt Lake City, so we had to be aware of unsuspecting hikers.

Another one of the photos we shot this day on the backside of Arches National Park.  I particularly like the reflection in the water.  This small pond reminds me of an eye.

We spent several hours shooting on the backside of Arches National Park.  It was wet and rainy on this day but well worth spending the time outside.  Candace was worried the whole time about her tanlines.  Models :-)
