My girlfriend was having a rough day and I wanted to draw something fun, so I asked what she thought I should sketch out. And here we are with a kitty-eared Gabriel Reyes and a teeny 76 leaping for him because we're both suckers for Reaper76.

Quote/Lyric Project

This is a two week project for my typography class. We're to sketch a design and then upload it to Illustrator to clean up and finish. The lyric used is from the song Wolves by Down Like Silver.

McCree WIP

So if nobody could tell, I've been on an Overwatch kick and happen to have an obsession with this cowboy. What it boils down to is I have a weakness for bad boys who are good men. 

...obsessions aside, I really just wanted to challenge myself with a more technical piece. I've been a big wimp by avoiding drawing any armor with fine lines (seriously my pencil for this is at 30% opacity and about 7pxs in size).

Typography Letterforms Assignment

Hiya, so I thought I'd share my first assignment for my Typography class. As you can tell, I'm not very good at rendering 3's. This was all freehand, following the examples linked by my professor. I drew the guidelines, freehand sketched the outlines of each letter and then filled them in with a heavy graphite pencil. Took me a few hours to complete with some minor interruptions, overall it was kinda fun.

I'm not gonna lie, I hate this piece. Hate it. I had such big plans to do something fun and smexy and they fizzled before me like an old sparkler. I was stressed, had to use a reference (and still the body looks really odd ><) because the motivation was pathetically lacking (mostly due to stress and daily panic attacks). Zaeed's Glorious Booty Commission

I was commissioned by Tumblr follower @theamazingblu-jay to draw Mass Effect's Zaeed Massani and his booty for their roomie @threewhiskeylunch. 

Being a booty lovin' creature, this was quite the fun piece to work on and great practice drawing different angles and tattoos.

Heyo everyone, so I was commissioned by the very, very patient @superkitty1337 on tumblr for a piece staring their Sole Survivor and a messy haired MacCready.

 I'm already hard at work on the next commission and then the patreon pic for next month (which is a bit school spirit themed since the new semester starts in just shy of two weeks!)

Hey gang, sorry if I'm slow to post content or just go quiet for about a week or so. Classes start back up in a couple weeks, so I'm gearing back into action for that. So, there's a possibility you can expect lots of neat updates to come. I'm taking a full course load with a graphic design and anatomy class but my other two classes are interesting. One class is storytelling through media and other is writing for multimedia.

B.O.S. Helmet

I've been in a very Fallout mood lately (doesn't help that I finally got brave and downloaded some mods onto my Xbox) and wanted to do some pieces inspired by American Traditional, a tattoo style I think goes right along with the Fallout series. The biggest hurdle I had was saturation, American Traditional pieces are heavily saturated and given the helmet is grey, I didn't want to make the piece a big dark blob, so I focused more on bringing out the shine of the metal.

Like the title, I did some more gesture drawing! Woot! This pose is from a Muay Thai pose search and I'm pretty sure I caught the dramatic movement (oh and the feet look a bit better this time XD).

Hey guys, so I had a really awesome conversation with my girlfriend (who's an amazing artist herself) she suggested I get into doing some studies to help improve my sense of realism and movement. So I went and looked up a bunch of pose references and chose this one first. 

I hate drawing feet - it's one of my weaknesses. So, expect some really awkward looking tootsies.

Tiny Update

Sorry for lack of content this week, everyone - my computer and I had been at odds for a good part of the week. Seeing how it's the weekend leading to my birthday, I'm gonna give myself a present. I'm going to take it easy by doing some sketching instead of big pieces (or try to at least) and just have fun, try not to pressure myself in getting every line as clean as possible.

Dozing MacCready

I'm challenging myself to sketch a different character each day - no matter how messy and awkward it might seem. I've been in my comfort zone for too long and would really like to show my appreciation for all the characters I enjoy. 

Tonight I did MacCready, sans his trusty hat, dozing off. I really tried to focus on the curve of his nose and the lines on his face because I truly do love those features.

Geralt Study

I've had this WIP in my folder for months and finally finished it today! I actually didn't think it'd ever be finished, to be honest. I've worked on it bit by bit and I'm pretty happy with it.

Cell Shading Practice

So, I'm trying to get a hang on using cell shading and the point of this is to use cell shading in game work and to broaden my abilities. I took an anthro oc of mine, Grant, and made it pretty easy on myself, considering he's just in his skivvies and what not. Anyway, enjoy. <3
