Character Update and game design

So here's the rough sketches of the Missy and Goth girl. The way I've been working with the artist is I send them some rough sketches and they shoot back what they think I want. Sometimes they're spot on, sometimes they're not slutty enough. So the 2 images on the left are the artist's initial sketch, and on the right are my modifications for the characters.

Release notes:

1. Early preview of dark forest scene

    For the background I was thinking Ocarina of Time - Lost Forest for navigating when I designed it. To make the game less linear the maze has a randomization on build, it's simple, but it works well.

The fighting was inspired by Trap Quest - a great game, but with some variations

Missy (The Detective)

I'm also submitting the character sheet for Missy. Her currently look is on the far left (Because I can't draw she wore a simple latex dress). Now's the time to change her look since I have a real artist who can draw.

Best Friend

I'm submitting the new character sheets to the artist, so I can modify the protagonist's best friend from high school. The image above is the current best friend (Jada) with her boyfriend. 

There's going to be other supporting characters, so if your choice isn't picked for the best friend it doesn't mean they can't be a minor character added in the future. 

Mini Game - Transformation

So here's the mini-game. It's really just to showcase the main game's transformation engine. 

I'm still working on the main game now titled: "Hermaphrodity and the Mystery of the Missing Specimens" a release is scheduled for Patreon only in the next few days, the artist is still working on some assets. My goal is to release before the new year.

Working on animations

So I wanted to add some animations, and I just found an animation tool that looks like it will work. It's still very crude since I have only been using it for a day, but I think it will add that little something special to the game. 

What do you think, is it still not there yet? or does this work for you?

You asked for it

I'll make the adjustment so it's more of a forced transformation in the game play. All the avatar sprites are complete (There are over 150 different images), the artist is currently working on the end images

Mini Game Transforamtion

The mini-game is coming along, it looks like it may be possible to release around Christmas. When doing the transformation I wanted to know how you liked to be coaxed into your transformation so I can set the tone for the game.

Clothing Update

I've been working on the avatar clothing all week with the artist. In case you're curious how the flow works, the artist sends one piece of clothing, and I duplicate and adjust for each body type. There are 6 different chests (male and female with different boob sizes) and 3 different butt sizes so each shirt has to be made up to 6 times to it flows with the body underneath it.

Why a mini-game

When I put out the last post I realized there may be some confusion as to what I'm making this mini-card game. When I put out the survey on why people thought of the art for the characters it was a mix of 'meh', to 'terrible'. My opinion is that the most important thing of an adult game is how it looks - does the art turn you on. So that means artistically it's being built up from the ground up.  In the current release there are 781 images that will need to be redrawn before new content can...

Early View of Mini Game

So here's an early view of the mini game I'm working on. It's a simple card game to show off the avatar transformation. It begins with you owing a loan shark a huge amount of money and each time you win some of you debt is erased, but if you lose you'll have to pick your transformation - both clothes or body part.

The artist is currently working on the clothing layers - had to get the body done first. With any luck the final version of the mini game should be out in 3-4 weeks. 2 weeks to creat...

Another Updated Image

I suppose I should give the $5 and up patrons some kind of thank you. This is a small animation I'm working on for the game. It's the porn store girl right before she gets caught by your friend and humble narrator.

Clothing Request

So this weekend I'm going to start creating the clothing for the main character. This is the clothing you're going to have an option to wear. This includes outfits (shirts, pants, skirts, tops), underwear, socks, shoes, and accessories like ear rings and tattoos.

If there's anything specific you want reply to this post and there's a good chance it will be included.

Background Image Updates

The image in the top left was what I'm able to create with my limited art talent. I asked some people to take a poll and it wasn't rated very well. So I used unity to create a place a background and screen shot that. It was an improvement, but it never really felt right. It was especially bad when I was doing the forest scene (You'll see a lot more of that in the future)

Minigame annoucement

So the artist is currently updating the sprite sheet (Shown is the old sprite sheet) Once I get the body parts and clothing I'll be releasing a transformation mini game. 

Step 1 is the body parts, then step 2 is the clothing. It's progressing well, and should be released in a month.

More Character Updates

First I want to thank you CC, my first patron, much thanks for your support! I'm still updating the artwork, next is the main character updates. 

Here's the updates on two characters. I suppose green shorts was a bad idea so she updated to more of a conservative / shy look to match her personality. If you digging the new art, or see something you want changed let me know!

Landlord Updated

So on the right is the first picture I worked on for the landlord. I knew it wasn't good, but when compared to an actual artist's rendition it just looks bad. 

I'm working on giving her a job as a nurse, which you'll see the update in either the next release, or the release after.

Another art update

There are currently around 750 different images used for this game. Many of those are a combination to create a single entry. I'm still working with the artist to improve the key artwork.
