Flora on film in Sydney

For me, the most compelling thing about people is their natural body language + their personality. Uniqueness. Everyone has it. Posing just makes everyone the same.

I deliberately did a search through my dropbox which would result in a completely random selection of portraits. Here they are. Two of the photos are by @shotbyminx.

The first time

Mel had never modelled before this shoot. We concentrated on portrait modelling but also expressive nude modelling without particular body configurations - more about pure expression. It's always refreshing to see how people express themselves without too much direction. They can reach a point where the energy freely flows out of them - not always though.

One of my favourite locations, Scheveningen - the dunes behind the beach. Lots of wandering fiddlers around there but they're easy to shoo off.
