Page 3 sketch! Some folks asked to see a more rough sketch stage so I did my best to keep that intact for this one. 

Normally what I do is blow up the thumbnail, then scribble over it for a while before I am happy with the idea of the poses. Then I spend a few hours refining the sketch to where I feel comfy inking.  Not a lot between the two other than 1) time and 2) redrawing faces over and over and over. Hopefully the rougher shapes and expressions or sort of interesting :D<...

Second page WIP. Please don't judge my made up placeholder stats too hard!  It took me way too long to come up with a color scheme I liked for a one-off dragon character but I'm happy with him and his raspberry blue horns.

Page 1 Flats

This page took me a pretty long time to set up. Normally flats and inks take me about a day to so but this was more of a 2-3 day affair. Par for the course, though. The first page always takes a bit longer than the rest because I'm figuring out color direction. Pretty much any time I change a scene to somewhere else it takes me a ton of time to figure out how I want to color it. Every other page after is usually a little more streamline.

Page 1-2 WIP

Sketching it out! Poor Terry just appears in 2-3 pages in this really short 15ish page comic but he gets some cute excited conversation to make up for it (which you'll get to see soooon).  I like drawing small BFF interactions with them.

Also yeah, Avery has a huge window (with no curtains drawn, pencil or otherwise) and isn't wearing any pants in bed. He has them laying around somewhere and just hasn't put them up for reasons unknown. 

Unnamed Short Comic WIP

It's been so long since I've drawn a comic (Safeword ended in 2017, wow) that I wanted to get back into it with a short one-off. This comic will be about 15 pages long and is about Avery, a buff Dragon, and a pretty vivid imagination. I don't have a name for it yet at all BUT the comic is M/M (teeeechnically M-Solo but hey!). I'm using this to stretch my comic making muscles again and figure out how intense I want to go with how I handle the art so I hope you all like it!

Spotlight Flats 3-5

Aaaaand flats for these guys! Lots of purple and pink but since I did the first two I have a pretty solid idea of how to work with these ones finally :3 

I don't think I sketched them on the first two since I didn't think of it until later but I started trying to draw in some vague background faces. Unfortunately they get blurred out a little later but it makes the background so much easier to shade vs. flat shapes.

June Flats

Small Talk

Two friends laying on the floor and chatting about the meaning of life. Are they outside in a park? In an old abandoned house? In a tree fort? I'm not entirely sure but I wanted it to seem natural and cozy for these two. 

I had a lot of fun with the colors and making this SFW since a lot of what I draw is of the NSFW variety. It's nice to explore character interactions outside of that once in a while. Hope you all enjoy! And thanks so much for the support :D

May WIP 02

Some flats I've been working on the last two weeks. Hopefully they are something nice for you to all look at!

I've had both these characters for  years and years and never actually got around to making them references. Ben Daki NSFW

I honestly expected to only get 1 done in time for BLFC, which was originally this weekend, but with all the cancellations I was able to really take my time and work through these guys. While the cons being cancelled sucks (even if for the best) I was happy to be able to finish up all three and have a complete set of 8 to have at cons moving forward in the future. Sandra NSFW Daki

I worked on finalizing the NSFW Sandra Daki this week (with Ben on his way soon!) and I'm overall super happy with how it came out. I also realized I drew the harness on a separate layer from everything else so I thought it would be fun to show both with and without it on since I think they look pretty neat!

 Unfortunately, when pre orders come in May I won't be offering both styles since it would cost a bit too much money. So the original harness version is what I'm going with. I ...

Finished this image up! I also went a little farther and drew some alt versions so you get 4 instead of the original this time around. It's weird seeing the same image with slight edits in it in the same post but hopefully there is a little something for everyone here :D; 

Thanks so much for the support! This was a lot of fun to draw and a little bit of a challenge from my usual work since I'm so used to drawing my own characters.
