Chapter 13: Faded World

I sat there for a long time. My attention was still focused on the dim sight of the bedroom door in the distance. I don't know how much time has passed since I did that. Minutes? Hours? It felt like an eternity to me as I waited for the warm energy within me to fill up.

Why is it so slow!?

I constantly found myself complaining like that within my mind.

I simply sat there, forcing my heavy eyelids to open wide while concentrating on the door. My mind is in a mess. The only th...

Chapter 12: Condominium

I'm lost, and my head hurts.

I've passed buildings, highways, and even an entire railroad overpass. All of these paths were picked randomly with the sole purpose of getting as far away from my former base as I could. I am actually not planning to move to this part. I was forced to take bends due to the abandoned vehicles scattered around the road, the occasional debris and broken buildings that blocked certain paths, and even holes that always forced me to slow down, or else I would go ...

Chapter 11: Leaving the Apartment

I wasted a precious few seconds standing like an idiot in my room. I can't do that. Time is ticking!

I felt the warm trickle entering me after killing that zombie. It added at least two seconds to my duration. Still, simply standing here would waste it.

I haven't seen clearly, but I think there are more zombies behind the ones who almost reached me. Tsk. I quickly pinched my arm as my body shivered at the reminder. I have to be strong!

There is no time left. I have to leave ...

Chapter 10: First Defense

Hoshikawa Yakumo's suspicion turned out to be true. Every building in this city was overrun by zombies, including the high-rise apartment she was staying at. She was just lucky that she lived on the highest floor, or else she would have already become a feasted corpse when she was still bedridden. Since the apocalypse, these zombies have emerged on the roads just in front of the entrance of this building.

The zombies emerged from a bud of flesh hatchery. A flesh hatchery was formed from...

Chapter 9: The Knock

Since those birds arrived here, every night has always been filled with the echoing caws of the crows. It was a bristling tone that disturbed my concentration whenever it occurred, and accompanying those were the weak moans of the walking corpses below.

I didn't notice it at first because I was busy dreading my future, but as the days passed, the inconvenience that those birds brought since they settled near my base became more noticeable. Every night, they caw in a set rhythm of two or...

Chapter 8: Uncertain Future

I don't have any useful trivia about birds. I just know that crows are scavengers who eat corpses. I don't know if these giant monster birds are like crows, but I'll consider them as such.

Doesn't mean they act like crows. These large birds have been actively hunting zombies. It's like they become some sort of hunting bird instead of a scavenging one. I really don't know. Maybe crows hunt on their own?

Regardless, I have to be fast. Those birds wouldn't just swoop in when I open m...

Chapter 7: Temporary Life

Another morning, another dull and silent sight of my room.

Every day, I wake up in the same dull room. At first, I'm fine with it. I always prefer being alone to mingling with others. Though, as time passed, this constant reminder that I'm alone in a hostile environment where monsters lurked below me and nervous about whether some sort of amalgamation might be lurking outside my room was hitting my psyche negatively.

I thought I would feel safe just staying in my room, but sometim...

Chapter 6: Apocalypse Fever

"One, two, three. One, two, three..."

I'm doing some light stretches after a brief mana grind. Its early in the morning, so its the right time for this.

First I did some light stretches, then after that, I did ten sets of push ups, curl ups, and jumping jacks. Those are the only type of exercises I know, and I think it is helping me.

After I was done with my exercises, I took a break, sitting on a chair and drinking a bottle of water.

"Puah! This feels great!" Even if ...

Chapter 5: Molotov Cocktail

I repeated the same tactic I did when attempting to scavenge for resources. I put out most of my blockades other than the wardrobe directly blocking my door, and then I jumped into the empty alternate dimension before taking the wardrobe out and leaving my room.

I quickly moved to my neighboring room on my right. I do remember that, unlike my neighboring room on the left, the one on the right has someone staying on it.

And just like I expect, I found the door to that room opened. ...

Chapter 4: Looming Crisis

Eat, throw knives, eat, and then sleep. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.

That has been my life since I got the generator. It might sound boring, but I have to be satisfied that I can survive with just this.

Having just cup ramen and egg as a diet sounds unhealthy, but it's not like I have a choice. They are the only food available for me.

I don't really want to leave my room until my dimension hopping's duration reaches an hour. Survival is my priority.

Talking abou...

Chapter 3: Generator

Two more days passed before I felt confident enough to actually leave my room.

My alternate dimension hopping's duration has increased by a minute. So if I force myself, I can stay in an empty alternate dimension for 1 minute and 20 seconds. Of course, I am still unused to the severe headache from going beyond my limit, so I simply stop myself before going beyond a minute.

A small headache is fine. Using at least 60% of my mana only gives me a minor headache.

I also realized...

Chapter 2: Alternate Dimension Hopping

It took a while before I finally realized what was happening.

I don't know if my assumption is correct, but I think I know what I am doing.

I can go to alternate dimensions!

After panicking for some time and then actually investigating what's happening, I came to that conclusion after managing to mimic the same feat as what I did this morning.

So when I tried to focus on doing the same thing again, I felt a strange energy being sucked within my body while my body got y...

Chapter 1: The Start

The world has ended.

Even though I've been locked in my room for days, I know that the world has ended from my phone. It occurred so abruptly. News reports and internet articles were instantly flooded with stories about zombies walking in droves, enormous creatures erupting from the earth, and much more. It's just been five days, and the claims have increasingly worsened until internet services are shut down.

Normally, I would verify such claims by peeking out my window, but sadly...

Chapter 7: Not A Professional Mechanic

(Third Person POV)

The recent announcement caused the fans to be slightly sad, though they quickly recovered and tried to be understanding. There was only one illustrator at Singularity Works after all.

More than 30,000 have visited the site, and 25,000 of them have already become fans and have been following the site since they joined. These fans have invited others to support Singularity Works, while most go to Genjitsu's LINE to express their appreciation for t...

Chapter 6: Writer's Guide Document

(Asane POV)

What should I do?

Wadokami-sensei is concerned about his ability to write. Well, I admit that he typically utilized common cliches to move his story forward, and he seldom writes meaningful dialogues between characters, and most of the time it is hard to tell who is speaking, and he occasionally repeats what was already mentioned in the previous paragraphs of his novel.... Oh, right, he does have a lot of stuff to work on.

But still, it's not View Post

"Sorry, but your story is unqualified. Please leave."

Chapter 4: Incredibly Fast

(Asane POV)

It surprised me when I checked my LINE account this morning. Only my parents' socials and the three authors I contracted were usually listed there, but when I checked it early this morning, I was surprised to see a lot of calls from unknown users.

Most of them were simply people expressing their appreciation for my efforts, but a few asked if I wanted to collaborate, and some even wanted to ask if I was available to work for their publishing firm.

Chapter 3: New Volumes and Series

(Asane POV)

I'm quite pleased with the results of PR-chan's promotion. With that AI advertising my website on many social media sites, the number of visitors to my site gradually increased. Hundreds of people have visited the site and looked at the only manga series on the front page. Wadokami-sensei was also overjoyed about this news that his upload speed had improved and that the process of approving the drafts I sent him was also becoming faster. I really like the ou...

Since Genjitsu translated Yuuma's webnovel into manga, his motivation to write has skyrocketed, and ideas he was hesitant to write at the time were adopted in his newer chapters after the mangaka artist convinced him that it was fine. Genjitsu always advised him to stop worrying about her and do what he wanted.

He was ecstatic, especially when Genjitsu forwarded the manga chapter drafts to their chatroom. He felt so appreciated because Genjitsu ...

Chapter 1: Starting Up

(Asane POV)

Another awful adaptation of my favorite series; why do they keep doing this?

The Isekai webnovel "Dungeon Lord Saga" has an excellent setting. The creator of this webnovel, Madou-sensei, is quite detailed when it comes to world building. The characters... Not that much... Even his plot is really generic... But the world of this novel is absolutely amazing!

It has been five years since the webnovel was created and two years s...
