reading homestuck as a teen has had unspeakable lifelong repercussions that can be considered both good and bad. examples:

good: forced me to learn how to draw humans instead of anime cats all the time

bad: in my teens the only internet service we had access to was limited during the day so i would stay up til 2am when it was unlimited to read homestuck and watch youtube videos, now i have hypersomnia AND insomnia
