(CA7-5) A little bit of progress

Guess who is lazy as f*ck and didn`t do anything for 3+ days. Yep, it's me!

To be honest, I've planned that animation will be finished by at least 75-80% today, but as you can see, it`s not even 50% ready. 

Hopefully, I`ll finish the animation intro next week, or even finish the whole animation. The main part is just a looped animation with one loop, so it should be quite simple to make.

(CA7-4) Progress

A bit delayed post because I wanted to include in this post all changes to the previous part of the animation, the part where tentacles enter her mouth and the part after it.

Making tentacles wrap her legs was pretty hard, hope it looks good, because I don't plan to remake it (I`ll polish it a bit anyway). Later I`ll add more tentacles on her body in the part where her legs got spread. Also, looking at how tentacle wrapping was made, I guess I`ll make tentacle material look very simple....

Good girl!

Some kind of story.

This is one of the first posters where I use Cycles render engine. It made it look a bit different from previous posters in terms of lighting. It allows using of more complex shaders and materials with more lighting techniques. But one of the problems I encounter with it, it is graphic artifacts on her tail and grass. In the future, I plan to use Cycles for animations.

(CA7-1) Intro blockout animation

Finally, I`ve finished blocking it. Now I`ll return to posting progress every 3 days. Sorry for THAT long absence of posts. And yep, this will be a long animation.

For new patrons - this is the animation that shows how the animation will flow, it`s meant to be very basic. In the process, most parts of animation are enhanced and polished until they look good.

Sorry for not posting anything for 5 days. I am busy with 2 commissions and don`t have anything to show anything good at this moment. I hope that today I finish making basic animation for one of the commissions, so I can post at least anything.

Oh wow, I made serious progress in making short looped animations really quickly. In past, that kind of animation would take 5+ days to create, but here it took nearly 5 hours to create. Btw, I need to make changes in the animation to make it more seamless and also to fix her hood.

I'm not sure if I leave her hood. On one side it gives additional recognition for her and is quite a symbolic piece of her clothing. On another side, it's hard to animate and takes up a lot of screen space where I can place some props to show what happened here. 

I`m not sure how I`ll name it. "Colliding worlds" sounds good but gives the idea that the animation will be long while in fact, it will be really short.

(A8-1) Intro blocking animation

So, A8 WIPs will differ from the previous ones. This is the experimental animation where I want to test a different animation technique. I am not sure if I'll finish it, I just want to gain experience in this technique so I can make long animations much faster in the future (not 1+ months, as I did with CA5).

(CA5-10) Almost finished

Here is how it looks without lighting. I decided to not add liquids at the end, because of how they will look and how often Blender is crashing. And wow, first animation with 10+ WIPs.

(CA5-9) Changes to environment

Now it looks a lot better.

I have 2 news, one good and one bad. The good one is that soon this animation is finished, I just need to make some minor adjustments to the animation and make scene lighting. The bad one is that I can no longer make big changes to the animation because of lags.

To be honest, I fear how long it will take to render... o_o'

(CA5-7) Attempt to add fluids to the animation

First time adding some fluids to an animation. Sadly, it looks not as good as I wanted. And because of that, it probably will not appear in the final version of this animation. At least I got some experience and the next animations now can have liquids. Tomorrow I`ll finish work on the environment.
