Recently I looked at the banner on my Patreon page and thought I could draw Albi a lot better now. And so I got the chance! That's why I was so excited when I saw the rainbow griffin in the batch of commissions.

It's been an amazing year. I took part in two artbooks that will be coming out next year, tried my hand at the concept art and made a small series of medieval knights. Visited an exhibition of Ilya Repin's paintings and got a lot of inspiration from his magig paintings.
I also want to thank all of you for your continued support! There's no way i could do this if there weren't people who enjoy my art. Thank you!
And with this of course best wishes to eve...

I was curious about what the Shelmet would look like if its armor were made of aluminum.

Personal.
The sketch for this illustration was made at the beginning of 2016, but only this year I found it, blew the dust off the file and finally finished the piece.

I was lucky of becoming one of the invited artists for a collaborative art book "Artists for the Amazon". This project hasn't been announced yet but I guess I can share WIP with you.

This time I want to show you a more detailed process of drawing one of the knights, including draft, rough lines and form shading.
Speed 4x, but it's still boring to watch D:

I started a course on "Designing with Color and Light with Nathan Fowkes" and it's my first homework. All the studies was done from paintings by Ilya Repin.
Last month I was lucky enough to get to his exhibition dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the artist. And I was very impressed with his skill and color!
