Last month I tried ArtFight for the first time. It turned out to be quite an interesting experience, I had a lot of fun with attacks and revenges. I have also set myself the additional goal of trying to get more dynamic lines in my sketches as well. And I think I did pretty well, at least I like how my sketches have changed since then.
All sketches can be found in the attachment

Once upon a time, I designed this cute little creature as part of an Esks author's species. And how happy I am to see this little fungus in ArtFight!

And some more sketches of how it could be. I like the composition on the last sketch best, but it doesn't fit the story very well, because the little golden mechanical bird should come stealthily, and staying close to the ground would be safer.

She is a strong and a bit angry charming zorse

And some sketches I made before that:

I am still looking for a design for my character. He's pretty simple and I want to give him some personality. So far without success, so I guess I'll just keep drawing him from time to time and maybe it will work itself out

What if cats lived on the seabed?

Btw, I added the psd-file to the attachment. Enjoy :)

Oh I'm so excited that I've been commissioned to draw a DnD character
If you want to draw something large, put something of a known size on the drawing. Concept art often uses a small horseman or the shape of a man in the foreground. In my case, the action takes place in a forest, and the trees are not good rulers for measuring height, because their size varies greatly. So I tried to show that these trees are old, which in most cases tells us that they are tall. To enhance the effect, I added a small bird in the upper right corner closer to the character.
Another video very similar to the previous one, but this time a photo with diffused light. So there is no obvious division into light and shadow, which makes the task of capturing volume more difficult. I had to draw more slowly and look more at the reference.

The skull was drawn as a test of a small set of round brushes, I was curious to see how it would feel to paint with non-textured brushes (usually use texture brushes). I really like the look of drawings made with brushes like these, they are so smooth and neat.

For this one, I did a comparison of the effect of a rough painterly style with vivid colours and a black and white ve...

Wow, a rare thing as a drawing for myself, I'll try to get better and do more personal artwork in this year!

Below you will find some color layouts made to be sure that the first color works best. And also the psd-file, a little messy in the layers, had to step back a few times and deal with small mistakes

I was very productive this year and got 27 finished illustrations and a few more portraits and a batch of lineart This is a really great result for me and I hope that my skills have improved after this hard work.
