Needed a break from cleaning up blend files (about a dozen are ready) so I decided to do a bunch of sim practice on this Miranda render. I want to say I learned a lot, but sims are fickle so lol

It was nice to come back to Mass Effect stuff after such a long break. I need to figure out what to do with this awesome Samara model I have one of these days soon

I am currently going through all 94 of my blends and getting things packed, cleaned up and scrubbed of others' private assets. It's taking some time, but I'm confident I can finish before the end of the month and have the tier ready for September!

If you're asking yourself, 'wtf, you have more than 94 renders', the answer is the rest are Daz and I'm honestly not sure how to share packed Daz scenes, or if it's even possible, since all the assets are tied to accounts and shit

I know it looks simple, but believe it or not, this one took a lot of work lol

Jesse's model needed quite a bit of flc to get her up to standard, but I did try some new things and figured out some shortcuts that should help me going forward so pretty worth the frustration here and there

PC seems fine

Whew. Looks like the cause of my frequent bsods was an external ssd, of all things. Of course, it was my primary blender drive. I managed to back everything up this weekend, luckily lol

This is the end result of a failed experiment with spectral rendering and fancy ass SSS settings. I honestly can't say if it's a failure bc of the obtuse nature of Daz or my general noobery, but I couldn't figure out how to get her to Blender and back without it looking cursed af so I couldn't sculpt out some errors which is unacceptable going forward. Our Passionate Aloy Enjoyer, Spaceman, commissioned me to remaster this previous render! Last time, Aloy's tribe was less Nora and more Crossfit. Too much time scrolling Meowri's timeline...

We spent a lot of time getting her little details as close to in-game as possible, with some teeny tiny creative license taken on her pubes. Her body shape and tone turned out to be much easier than that fancy af hairdo that Guerrilla Games gave her. Yeesh

I was experimenting with Mixamo and few other ways to get a jump start with animation and/or dynamic poses that could help speed up my process and remove some of the tedium that comes with posing, which I don't love doing

This isn't my best render by any stretch, sfw or otherwise, but it helped me learn a few things that could be very useful in the future. Maybe. Hopefully!

UGH. For many reasons, this one was difficult. The caustics didn't really work out despite adding hours to the render time, I think I overdid it in post, and I don't really know how to do great water on my own. I am pretty ok with the Batman floaty tho. ANYWAY, as my buddy Playfair likes to say, onward

I'm finally gonna do Elizabeth Comstock next, but I don't have a great idea atm. Might just play with improving the different models for a bit and see if something strikes me

I'm glad enough of you all picked WD Lara, I haven't used her in a long time and it was very nostalgic to the days of Lil Umbasa

It was challenging to get the proper wet look, especially with the hair, but I'm ok with this. And I had a chance to use some geometry node droplets and see a minor amount of Blender 3.2 caustics. Pretty impressed ngl

Sorry this took so long, I had to redo the whole thing when my first project kept crashing on open. Struggled to rally motivation back, but I'm happy with how this came out and I had a chance to make some more improvements to Aloy (she's still a constant WIP)
