Basically that's how this was made.
1. Loaded the model and started posing
2. Final pose
3. Turned the lights on in the map
4. Switched to a black box map then changed & added more lights. Later edited the picture in painttool sai, making that blurry "effect" around the arms (using 2 pics, also added a 3rd pic where the tongue is more shiney= have a wet looking effect).

Was messing around in sfm, thought I'd pose Venom for a future pic where I'd draw down the movie version of him, then went on with the making; messed with lights in sfm, switched to painttool sai, then photoshop for some adjustments, then back to sai to clear out some noticable contrast vibes.
idk how much is visible cuz it's pretty dark, but on my screen it looks good.. did not use my drawing tablet, only a mouse :'d

This's gonna be more of a personal piece, related to irl moments.
A dear friend of mine attended the TennoVIP meeting at Paris and was lucky (& brave) enough to change a few words with Steve and Rebecca. Not only that, but was allowed to take some photos with 'em.......... and then asked if they happened to know an artist running by the name as smutbase. x'D
Their response were surprising or more like... well, idk if I even had any expectations at all xD

I've been working on a lil comic and out of nowhere I just sketched a random, smiling Venom... then coloured him too cuz why not.
Idk if I'll use this or not, the panel I was sketching was meant to be a chatting screen, maybe I'll use this as his avatar there or something.
On the other hand, in the top left corner that suppose to be a Venom smiley that I was trying to copy from the official Venom twitter emoji. That looks like this:

The story behind this; I sent a pic for him suggesting a pose reference, then 1h 30mins later he came back with an actual sfm work xd Since I was asking of the texture flaws and possibility of fixing it, I offered my services for editing the picture in photoshop, fixing broken parts and others, since he said he can't correct those.
He's sleeping atm, so idk wh...
So now that charge-up-front is enabled;

My last post of the year is like every year; a summary post of 12 pics I've done, selected for every month, out of the pictures I've created in that certain month.
I started this edit earlier than usual...
I've made quiet a few pics in January actually.. of course Jan is for my FemVenom :>
Then there were months I was in a bit trouble what to choose (like in may and july... also august was when I did the nidus×mesa and I can't show that in a sfw way xD thank god I did the gwenom ...
Not feeling like arting, probably cuz of the hype, but I did this a while ago, posed for a future drawing... the finished product gonna show more of course, this is just a sneak peek B)

In the begining I wasn't intending to make the picture this colourful, thought I'd make it simple and with a few similar colours, grayish or something.. That's why the saved wips are that different from each other and change a lot during the gif showcase.
I'm pretty proud of this, love this kind of messy sketch style c': (actually remembered my stalker×nyx piece and probably went with the same style cuz of that)
Mostly made with the Marker tool in painttool sai.
Finally after breaking my artblock-ish thing I did something.. that wasn't planned to happen now, but it happened anyways and during working on it I immediatelly got a new idea to do next ha... (also another forhonor related pic to do B)

SFM helped me a lot making the light touches like that.
I put Hancock's 3D model inside a house, on a bed, that had a window. The map was in night mode (a borderlands themed map), added light source from outside of the house facing the window. Added some bed models without the mattress between the window and the light source to make a caged-like window (or more like a window with rectangular opens). Used a naked character at sfm as a base for this (it had to be naked to make a skintight suit ya know.. and to see the actual form of the figure).

So in conclusion, I've learnt that I really should make the finishing touches, the colour corrections with Photoshop... cuz damn, it came out way better than the first version I did with the usual program. I could highlight the colours I wanted and avoid hiding details. ;w;
