Not done one of these in a while. But originally everytime the game had to check what weapon you had equipped, each map would of checked via an event in that map. Which meant every new weapon that was added to the game would have to be edited into every instance with a battle.
With this new system, its all done via a single common even that can be referenced to at anytime! Which means everytime I need to add new weapons to the system I only have to edit one single event!

The portal
So the idea behind this place is the explain why peoples OC's are in the game. Because not everyones OC's that I put into the game would of grown up in a retale-verse. Its sort of a way to explain how some peoples characters get into the game through competitions and such.
This also provides a place where the player will be able to change their name. Its chalked up to be a much bigger deal than you might think to change your name in game. Atleast lore-wise. As in most games, as soon as ...
