The colours and theming of your and a number of pred/prey living quarters is themed after something I love. Either way, before entering the apartments you'll have the choice between going straight to your room. Or venturing about in the large building.
The idea of this place is that they'll house the people that are runners up for my competitions. So each door you could knock and get a little scene with someones OC or sona that they choose.
This has been very fun to even but a headache to event also!

In the first game, because of the way it was, and how it was structured, it was hard to really build upon characters on a wide range. As each decision would of been very much either one path or the other. Going back would be hard.
Due to how Retale 2 will work, I'll be able to add in multiple paths, and theoretically the player would be able to do multiple paths at once.

What can we see here? The new trash system, chaos events and angry customers.
The orange ones are angry and will trigger customer battles if you let them! (You get EXP and moolah for dealing with them!)
The chaos events will provide a light challenge for the player, encouraging players to carry out tasks at certain times to counter balance meters that are drained at random.

There's nothing quite like the daunting realisation that something won't work after you could of sworn you've tried and tested something. The system of moving stockboxes around and items around the store was something I've wanted from day one. But there was a problem.
The destinations are very specific on where you can put those boxes as you can see, box 1 has to go to the box 1 destination. And box 2 has to go to the box 2 destination. And that's all well and goo...

While the above gif might look fairly simple and easy, it was anything but. You see to program this all with RPG maker MV's eventing system only means that its impossible to tell the system what image that is currently selected.
This means I manually had to move each picture into the characters mouth and have 9 choices, each that would denote a variable that would indicate which current item it was on. Each variable would have to reset the variable to a different number to indicate that someth...

This is who you'll play as in Retale 2. The plan with the original Retale is that you'd be playing as, well, you. So in Retale 2 I wanted the player sprite to be nondescript.
Although we'll be hoping to have outfits the player can wear to customize their look more!
This is going to be sort of the mix between Limbo and Dream dragon in the second game. In the first Retale they got a very mixed reception. So in this game the modes are going to work a little differently. And she'll be dealing with all your respawns.
What can we see here? Independant on map movement of her face without the use of pictures.
Magic sigil lift to bring player up to her level. Choice to either talk or walk away.
