My dog Cornelius Orion Gonnella, my best friend of the last 14 years and inspiration for Pit, passed yesterday.

We knew it was coming as my buddy had been sick for a while, so it wasn't a shock. Yet I'm devastated anyway. He was a great boy, the best of them, my original Companion, and I'll miss him a whole hell of a lot.

I'll be taking the next few days for myself, and chapters here and on RoyalRoad will resume on Monday 4/21.
