Managed to finish Ys VIII last night. I had a lot of fun with it. By the end I was kind of sad it was over because I really enjoyed the characters for the most part. Plus the game play being a fast paced action game helped it a lot too. If the game play is slow and bothersome I'll typically tap out of it. Kinda like with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Had to bail that one.

Suggestions for a gender bending short story.
With my editor friend AWOL, I was thinking of write a short story while MGD is dead in the water. If you got suggestions or ideas that you'd like to see in it, leave a comment. It'll more than likely be a short one off story, so please don't suggest the start of a sprawling epic that takes the equivalent of two bibles to tell the entire story.

I'm never a fan of having a day off for holidays in the middle of the week. Like, sure, having a day off is nice, but being squashed in the middle of the work week is killer. I prefer it to fall on Mondays or Fridays so it's an extended weekend and allows for having two days off in a row without the Sunday "back to work tomorrow!" dread hovering in the air.
That's why I took Tuesday off to do jack all and play Ys VIII. Sadly I can't do it in September for Yom Kippur as the boss won't allow it ...

Picked up Ys VIII. I'm liking it a lot so far, though I'm only like 5-6 hours in.
The setting for the game is a deserted island with Adol, Dogi, and a bunch of one off characters who will never be heard from again in the franchise stranded with no way off. With the end of the spring anime season having arrived, I'm having to go through my queue on crunchyroll and start taking off series that I started but ultimately fell off. Usually it's stuff that I either lost interest or haven't been in the mood to get around to watching. Had to redo the patch in my tire today. Not the one that had the big ol bolt in it from a month or so back, but a different tire. It had been leaking air slowly so that I'd have to fill it up once a week just to keep it inflated. Decided to do something about it when I went out to fill it up and there was only 7.5 pounds of pressure in it (I usually have it set to 35 pounds).
