Sukuna stood before his legion, watching as they gathered in the former docking station, now turned Gathering Hall. The space, vast and echoing, had become a symbol of their unity. His Devourers, numbering in the thousands, sat or squatted on the cold metal floor, dressed in simple robes, shirts, or whatever they preferred when they weren’t in battle. Their Power Armor, helmets, and weapons lay discarded for now. They had no need for such things in their downtime. This casual, almost relaxe...

Satoru cackled with laughter as massive bone spikes erupted from the ground, aiming to impale him in a deadly web of jagged stone and bone. They shot out so fast they would have skewered any other Sorcerer, but to Satoru, they moved like they were swimming in glue. He danced between the spikes effortlessly, weaving through them with the grace of a predator toying with its prey.
Ah, if only he were still his old self, Satoru mused; he’d be relying on Infinity like a crut...

The disappearance of the Arkifane was more than a mere ripple in the fabric of the cosmos - it was a rupture that should have shattered fate itself. Almost. Yet, fate, being fluid and stubborn, had ways of mending itself. Threads could break, timelines could split, but new strands would always form in the endless weave of possibility. Some events, however, were meant to be immutable, fixed points on the loom of destiny. These were moments that no force could alter: the births and deaths of pi...

The chaos surrounding her was a blessing in disguise. People screamed, pushing and shoving, desperate to get as far from the carnage as possible. Taylor took advantage of the confusion, slipping through the crowd and moving with purpose. Her heart pounded in her chest, but her face remained calm. The hoodie she swiped from a passing stranger provided some cover, shielding her face and helping her blend in as she ducked into the throng of fleeing refugees.
Her mind raced. She had...

I kind of been thinking about redoing this story, because I feel like I kind got off the rails a little bit and made a lot of mistakes. A redo would be slower-paced and more character-driven, with more characters and a revamped Gamer System that doesn't rely too much on random bullshit.
But, I'm happy to take opinions.
Note that a Redux would mean I don't work on the current version for a while and it'll effectively be left on something of a HIATUS.

The sight of Rodrik on his knees, pledging himself to me with that unsettling devotion, hit me like a slap. For a moment, I froze, my brain working overtime to process what I'd done. What kind of monster had I just unleashed? I'd been too caught up in the role, too lost in the rush of power, to think about the consequences. Now, staring at Rodrik's bowed head, I understood. This wasn't a game. This was something far bigger.
And then, the avalanche started.
It began slowl...

Eventually, Sukuna's time with Vulkan had to end, no matter how refreshingly amusing it had been. The Primarch's presence had been a welcome distraction, but now that Vulkan had discovered the full extent of his Innate Technique, their paths were destined to diverge. Sukuna had other matters to attend to, and their mission in the system was nearly complete. With the Agurasi and the rest of the alien vermin purged from the sector, there was little reason for Sukuna to linger.
Vulkan...

Taylor entered the refugee camp, the glow from the flying figure overhead casting long shadows across the streets. The woman in the sky, illuminated like a human-shaped light bulb, brought an eerie sense of calm to the night. Light poured from her in waves, a beacon in the darkness, illuminating every corner of the camp. Despite her brightness, the woman - likely Purity - wasn't attacking anyone. She simply hovered above, her posture suggesting that she was patrolling the area.

The Devourer moved with lightning speed, Satoru noted, twisted and sending a spinning kick right into Nobara’s jaw, which sent the Reprogrammed Cursed Spirit flying away with a broken jaw. Satoru noted the burst of Cursed Energy, the flux of power that surged through the Devourer’s entire form. It was similar to Cursed Augmentation, Satoru realized, but applied entirely differently. Instead of a constant flow of Cursed Energy to supplement the muscles and bones, the Devourer, Kureishi Mad...

“NO!”
The roar of the anomalous entity echoed into the wind, but it was too late. Far too late. It was too late the moment it failed to shut down the facility immediately, or when it failed to recognize the true nature of the units it’d destroyed in its attempt to find the AI Core, which – by its estimation – was the only object of value within the forgotten facility. Well, it can have the AI core if it wanted it so much.

Dorn stood at the command dais, his eyes scanning the hololithic display that flickered with streams of data and tactical overlays. The battle unfolding before him was unlike any he had faced in his long years of service. The enemy fleet, smaller in size and numbers, moved with an eerie synchronicity that defied the traditional tactics of naval warfare. Each of their ships, sleek and sharp like the blades of some ancient duelist, cut through the void with a swiftness and fluidity that made th...

Part 2 of What if #1 (it's the one with Ghidorah in it, during Aegon the Conqueror's time)

The wind howled through the Red Keep, bringing with it the chill of a foreign storm—a reminder of power wielded across the Narrow Sea. The chamber was dimly lit, shadows flickering on the stone walls like specters lurking in the dark. Aegon I Targaryen, King of the Seven Kingdoms, sat at the head of the table, his face set in a grim expression. Before him, the Painted Table display...

"What a minute...." Vulkan suddenly said. Sukuna stopped, raising a brow as his apparent sibling had a sudden stroke of genius. And, honestly, their spar was getting a little stale. Neither of them were backing down and neither of them were capable of seriously hurting the other, without outright killing. And, honestly, Sukuna wasn't entirely convinced that Vulkan wasn't going to just walk off the effects of his Malevolent Shrine as Mahoraga did. The only difference was that Vulkan did not ne...

Taylor’s eyes narrowed as she stared back at her own twisted reflection. Her hands balled into fists, her fingers digging into her palms. Her body shook. And wave after wave of Cursed Energy radiated from her form, causing the very dust to swirl around her and the edges of the bathroom mirror to crack. With a sneer, she spoke, “And, I suppose, you’d want yet another Binding Vow, in exchange for your tutelage, right? Do you think I’m a fucking idiot? Why would I do that?”

It stirred in the depths of the manufactorum—a behemoth born of cold metal and ancient wires, long since abandoned in the darkness. Its awakening was heralded by a low, mechanical hum, the grinding of gears and the hiss of pressurized hydraulics, the sound of life returning to something that should have remained dead. Towering at an immense fifteen feet tall, it rose from the shadows, a monstrosity of gleaming steel sinews wrapped tightly around a skeleton of alien alloys. Its form resemble...

There were plenty of lines that Gojo Satoru did not cross or only did so begrudgingly. One of those lines was the taking of civilian or otherwise innocent life. Despite his affiliation with the Aeldari and, very recently, the Drukhari, Satoru still very much cared for innocent human life, those who’ve done nothing wrong, those who did not deserve to suffer, those who were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He vehemently disliked the Imperium of Mankind and all it stood for, yes, and...

Sanguinius’ eyes narrowed as he surveyed the proverbial field of battle, their war in the void. And this whole thing was going... really badly. But, in such conflicts, there really wasn’t much of a choice. Sacrifice a few million to gain just a sliver of information. The very idea of it weighed heavily over his heart and shoulders. And, once upon a time, Sanguinius would’ve hesitated to implement such a cruel and callous command. But he was o...

Logan Grimnar scowled as he, once again, was forced to tolerate the presence of the abominable Devourers, the dark spawn of the King of Curses himself, Ryomen Sukuna, the barely-loyal Primarch who, at one point, came to blows with Rus himself, their legions at each others’ throats. It was only the intervention of the great Vulkan that prevented an all-out war between the Devourers and the Vlka Fenryka. Bjorn the Fell-Handed was the only one old enough, at least among the Vlka Fenryka, to re...

Just as it did with Horus, Sukuna's spar with Vulkan paused as his fellow Primarch stared at the flickering blue energies that'd suddenly enveloped his fists. Sukuna huffed. This wasn't how Jujutsu Sorcerers were supposed to come about, which meant he could somehow infect his fellow Primarchs with the gift of Jujutsu or that every Primarch already had the potential for Jujutsu Sorcery within them, which they awakened by proximity. Was it the same for all of them? Would his supposed s...

Septon Barth, a man whose expression often vacillated between mild bemusement and scholarly resignation, stood before the royal couple with a letter in hand. It was a letter quite unlike any he had seen before, and Barth had seen many peculiar things in his time. This, however, was in a category of its own.
"It's from Dorne," Barth said, tone suggesting this was more burden than blessing.
Jaehaerys looked up from his ...

The peasantry had taken a respectful distance, despite their fear. Dragons, after all, were no common sight, even when the Targaryens had dozens of them. The Children of the Forest scattered before us, their eyes and mouths wide with fear and shock as they stared at my handsome self and, of course, Little-Cloud, who walked by my side. They were rightly afraid of Little-Cloud, since I figured they knew what she was or, at the very least, had an idea of what she might be; their race was most likely old enough to have seen the most ancient Others, before they were corrupted by the Great Other into servitude.
They spoke in hushed tones,...

In hindsight, Sukuna would readily admit that tanking Vulkan's punch using his face was probably not among the best ideas he's ever had, probably one of the worst if he was being honest. Vulkan's punch held enough power to rival a black flash and Sukuna wasn't even exaggerating. The worst part was that it was all physical – not a single hint of Cursed Energy. The rumors of Vulkan being the physically strongest Primarch were apparently not just rumors. That one punch would've cracked his sku...
