Twisted and Accursed, Chapter 17

Ya know... Sukuna still wasn’t entirely sure how he even got here, trapped within some kind of outer dimension that was somehow connected to two entities at once: a brat and a... an eldritch monstrosity unlike anything he’d ever seen before. Then again, it wasn’t as though he was in any better shape, considering he... no longer even had an actual physical form. Well, that wasn’t really anything new, considering he’d existed as a Cursed Object for almost a thousand years before findi...

The Cursed King, Chapter 30

True to Sukuna's prediction, it took the Devourers Legion a mere week to conquer the entirety of the system. After taking on a single world by himself, Sukuna had opted to just spend the rest of his time reading, watching odd films, and eating something called iced clotted cream, instead of assisting in the overall war. And true enough, the Devourers didn't need him; though, he did keep a close eye on the events of the war, just in case they'd require some kind of intervention on his part, bu...

"Wow," I said, eyeing the Other as it somehow remained alive after the absolute and utter pummeling it received from Nightfury, who stomped the shit out of it enough times to actually form a crater. Oh, don't get me wrong, it definitely didn't come out of it unscathed and, in fact, I was pretty sure Nightfury's constant stomping had fucked the shit out of its body. A closer look revealed that all its limbs were broken and its head was slightly cracked. But, of course, it was som...

Satoru raised a brow. “Drukhari huh? Didn’t think they’d be that bad, after Caoimhe told me about them. But no. They’re attacking their own cousins, just after their cousins were attacked by humans. They’re even worse than I thought, actually.”

Smiling, he turned to the crowd of gathered warriors. Caoimhe told him quite a lot about the Drukhari. See, the Aeldari didn’t really hate the other races. True, they held quite a bit of di...

“I was born and raised on Tera, beneath the golden shadow of the Emperor and his transhuman warriors,” The Astartes said, eyes unfocused. “I fought and lived fiercely and, in time, I was recruited into the War Hounds Legion. We were sent out to conquer world after world, in campaigns that spanned hundreds of solar systems. You will forgive me, Lord Primarch, if I know little of how the Imperium is run or its history; I can tell you, however, how it conducts its wars. I was a warrior –...

A Guardsman's Game, Chapter 56

The lightning storm from the [Mjolnir(Replica)] came with a gargantuan shockwave that tore through the ranks of the Deff Dreads, sending the smoke-belching mechanical monstrosities flying away, their engines warped and broken by the sudden influx of electrical energies, cooking the Orks held within, burning and charring their flesh and bones. The weapon, Mjolnir, a replica though it might’ve been, held... far more power than any weapon I’ve held before. There was a... strange feel to it, ...

Sukuna tore the chest open of the screaming Ork Sorcerer and took in the smell of fear and pain. He then ripped out the creature's still-beating heart and ate it. Delicious. He then ripped the Ork's head from its shoulders, cracked open its skull, and ate its brain. Also delicious, but milder in flavor. The Cursed Energy that was embedded in the creature's flesh was... interesting. It was... entirely different from anything Sukuna had ever tasted or even felt before. Describing it with words ...

New Fic Idea (It Came to Me in a Dream)

What if we take Homelander (a version that's sort of a combination between comics and TV Show) and shove him into 40k. The catch is that his powers are gone for the first few chapters and he has to learn how to live like a normal human for a while. Redemption story, kind of like The Shattering, but more character focused, instead of grand battles and shit (There will still be plenty of those, of course, since this is 40k). The title is, "The Hero I Could've Been". What ya'll think?

"Son of a bitch," I muttered, eyes narrowed as I stepped forward. No matter how much I wanted to, I couldn't spare a glance over my shoulder to try and see where the ice spear had ended up. All I knew was that I'd deflected the damn thing away from Nightfury. I was going back for it, though, after I pummeled this cold-skinned piece of shit into the ground; I wanted an ice spear, damn it! This was a battle that I, unfortunately, had to take seriously. An Other was nothing like a human being; t...

Somehow, through reasons unknown to and beyond her, Taylor now had the power to summon the souls of the dead – or, as Sukuna liked to call them, imprints of the dead. What the difference between them was, Taylor did not know. What she did know was that she could call on them and ask them to help her. She still wasn’t entirely certain if she could command them to do anything she wanted, but they did things for her if she asked nicely and explained her side of thi...

In the end, he couldn’t really make too many changes to ‘Nobara’, who used to be Shalaxi, who was also subsequently spawned from hedonistic Cursed Energies – sex, drugs, and rock and roll kind of shit. Of course, he could add new facets to to the existing blueprint to tune down the hedonism into something relatively normal and human, and that’s exactly what he did, but the code couldn’t be altered any further – or, perhaps, it was more accurate to say that the very base of it co...

The Ork screamed and roared and thrashed in pain as I shoved my hand into its chest, ripping through flesh and bone alike as I began altering its very being, down to the microscopic level. I’d wanted to do this since that cave, but I never really had the chance to. I figured that now was the best time for it, with the Kharsons cutting a bloody swathe across the Ork Boyz and Nobz, killing them left and right as though their lives were but flickering flames to be extinguished on a whim. They ...

The Shattering, Chapter 36

Removing the devices from the Space Marine’s head proved to be a far greater challenge than Argall had first anticipated. The nail-shaped devices weren’t just lodged through the skull and into the brain, whereupon they released the signals and hormones that triggered an everlasting rage. No, the device was growing into the brain, joining with it and outright taking over entire sections entirely. And so it was safe to say that the nails were in fact a part of the...

She didn’t want to see or meet her dad – not as she was and not after everything she’d done. How could she possibly explain any of this? How could she possibly look him in the eye and still claim to be a hero? Oh, certainly, she saved a lot of people – many of them already dead, but she saved a lot of them anyway. And, even if she saved a thousand, that number still paled in comparison to the many who’d died because of her stupidity, because she thought she knew better than Sukuna, ...

The Cursed King, Chapter 28

The transformation into a Cursed Corpse wasn't a quick process, Sukuna mused, even with all the proper steps performed properly. Still, once the emotional Cursed Energies were implanted and left to fester on their own, there really wasn't anything more to be done – not on his end, at least. This was similar, Sukuna mused, to the fermentation process of wine; after the initial steps, the only thing left to do was wait. And so that's exactly what he did. Ryomen Sukuna sat down, leaned back, a...

At full speed, Nightfury flew like the fucking wind. He and I both felt what was coming, the dark presence that loomed over the land, like a great shadow. The Frozen Shore, north of Bear Island, was probably a good hundred miles of seawater away. A ship would've had to sail for maybe a day or more just to get there; well, with Nightfury flying like an absolute mad lad got us there within less than an hour. His behavior changed, I noted almost immediately. Usually, Nightfury treated everything...

“So....” Argall began, arms crossed over his chest, a single brow raised, and a look of disdain about him. The thing before him was hardly superhuman, because it could hardly be called human at all. Its genes were so horrifically altered and broken that it was now both sterile and alien. The only human thing about it now was its physical form, but – even then – only when one squinted. Even its mind was mostly gone, Argall mused, likely due to the... Neuro-Interactive Nails th...

A Guardsman's Game, Chapter 54

The world of Sylvia was divided into five distinct continents, each one unique in often very subtle ways as the entirety of the world mostly shared the same climate, but had distinct geological features.

The continent of Kartha, where the Communications Jammer was located and destroyed, was mostly comprised of tall mountain ranges, crags, deep valleys, treacherous cliffs, and jagged peaks; there were only a few – at least, relative to the rest of the planet – major Or...

“Domain Expansion,” Satoru grinned as Shalaxi’s eyes widened with fear and recognition. She’d seen a domain before, which meant she’d gone against a Jujutsu Sorcerer before. But, then again, Satoru mused, considering he’d already met a Jujutsu Space Marine Sorcerer, it really wasn’t much of a surprised that an ancient and powerful Cursed Spirit, like Shalaxi Helbane, would’ve already met and fought one before. Briefly, Satoru wondered if the Cursed Spirit before him, powerful ...

"I yield..." Rodrick croaked when I loosed my fingers. I released my grasp and watched as he fell onto the floor, coughing and wheezing. Everyone else, however, was too busy being frozen in shock at the sight of Nightfury to actually take notice of my victory and I couldn't blame them. My boy was a sight to behold and, at night, with his eyes glimmering like charcoals and with tongues of fire licking and dancing from his mouth and nostrils, I bet more than a few of the people here, excluding ...

King's Landing was ruined. The Red Keep was now little more than a smoking wreck, its walls reduced to a bubbling, burning lake of molten rock. The ground was cracked and torn, massive craters and blasted furrows as far as the eye could see. Any semblance of civilization had been torn down, now little more than smoking remnants on the ground. The Sept was gone, reduced...

His legion, it turned out, had plenty of experience in fighting the Greenskins. In the legion history that Sukuna hadn't bothered to read until he felt like it, the Devourers – in the days before they called themselves that – often fought alongside the White Scars, under the command of the Khan, who frequently encountered Orks. And so, his legion had plenty of experience, enough that Sukuna was confident in the fact that he could probably leave them alone to do their thing. The Five Capta...

“Greetings, Nashara of the Reapers,” Thragg said, nodding. He spoke now to an equal, Thragg mused, a creature that held enough power to rival himself – definitely among the most powerful beings he’d ever encountered. He was no stranger to machine races, of course. The Viltrumite Empire had encountered man of them and the story was usually one of two: machines who ascended after rebelling from their old masters or biological creatures who achieved some form of transcendence after mergi...

Shalaxi Helbane sneered as the thin beam of Purple energy struck her forehead. The impact, while powerful, only left a small smoking hole on her otherwise flawless skin – a hole that rapidly closed. Satoru shrugged. He’d expected as much. Cursed Spirits didn’t technically have any organs. One could rip their head right from their shoulders and the stronger of them would linger on as just a head, until they managed to heal themselves with Cursed Energy, kind of like that fire guy – View Post

My eyes widened as the whole mountain... just vanished. The moment the skill activated, it was as though the universe itself paused in confusion – time and space refusing to accept the sudden and horrible reality of what’d just occurred. One moment, a whole mountain range stood and loomed over a vast expanse of land, rolling hills and crags and ruined rocks and creeping woods. And, in the next moment, all of that was gone, vanished without even a trace. I honestly had no idea wha...

Several of his Legionnaires picked up and understood the creation of Cursed Tools almost immediately, most of them did not. But, Sukuna already expected such a thing. The ability to create Cursed Tools was a rare ability that came easier and more naturally with others. Already, Sukuna noted, more than a few of the Devourers were tinkering with their arms and armor, turning their mundane tools into Cursed Tools.
