And I'll end on one last butt shot, because that's just the kind of caring fellow that I am. It's so hard to find the dunes unadulterated like this, with the lines created by the wind without footprints disturbing them. it had been cloudy and cold for several days, so maybe that is what kept the tourists away.

This is my favorite shot of this whole set. She fought me on it, fearing I'd be able to see all the way up to her colon from behind, but I assured her I would only be seeing butt cheek. She eventually and grudgingly relented, and afterwards she felt okay about it.

Hana, half-Chinese and half-white, is a complicated mix of beauty, insecurity, over-education, and being a spoiled brat. Being the only grandchild on both sides of her family, she has been coddled, praised, and held to a very high standard that she never seems to attain, both for herself and others. We have butted heads over the years, but mainly for her over-analysis and stubbornness and insecurity rather than any real conflict of personality.

Fan-favorite Hana had been wanting to shoot at the dunes since we first met, so this Saturday morning she and I got up around 5 a.m. and made it out to the vast expanse of sand by 6. As expected, she did great.
