The roof of this part of the cave wasn't more than four feet tall, so getting above her required me to put the camera's back against the roof of the cave and blindly focus and aim. Thankfully, after years of practice, I think I did rather well, considering the conditions.

There were simply too many great shots of Mika, and it took me two months to be able to narrow my favorites down. Usually I try to narrow a shoot down to 20-30 image, but hers reached well into the 50s. I finally had to act like Solomon and make the tough choices, editing out photos I loved because they were repetitive or unnecessary for telling any sort of story.

Eventually the cave became a bit cold, whiat with a breeze constantly blowing through and her not wearing anything on her thin body. The moment the sunlight hit her skin, I once again was struck with how easy it was to capture a beautiful image of her.

The light in the cave made everything look beautiful from any angle, and Mika's beauty and years of experience and natural talent as a model made the shoot one of the easiest I'd shot in a long time. We hardly spoke for long moments at a time because there was simply no need for direction or for her to ask what I wanted. Shoots like this are truly rare.

But eventually, as is always the case with Mika, the clothes never stay on long, and without mentioning it she began to take the top off. Rarely have I ever stopped a model from doing so.
