Chase Kennedy is a local model that has gained a large amount of attention lately. Though obviously very tall at 6'4", Chase has become known as having the long legs of any working model in the world. This was one of my first times visiting our local sand dunes, and with her height and beauty, the experience was incredibly special and memorable.

It had been a busy and quick little shoot, but productive and worth the effort. She and I had both consumed far too much candy in to short a period of time, and as wel packed up and loading everything back in the truck, we chit-chat in manic, fun state that didn't dissipate for a long while.

Sure that we had gotten enough good images, I still didn't want to stop shooting with her, so i helped her sit down and took a few last shots of her.
"What do you want me to do now?" She asked, genuinely uncertain, knowing we'd pretty much exhausted the look and idea.
"I don't know, just act silly," I suggested.

Even when you know you've got "the shot," it's always good to shoot just a little bit more in that same situation. You never know what you might be able to get. In this instance, what we got after didn't compare to the best shot, but it never hurts to try.

In the end, this shot ended up making the cover, though of course it would end up being cropped at an almost 4x5 ratio. I had acquired the shirt in the children's section of a local thrift store, and it was so small that she could barely get her arms in it at the same time.

Still wearing her skates, I decided to reposition her on the grass, providing much more stability for her.
As mentioned before, I was just trying to get one usable shot for the cover of the magazine, and knowing the subject was Objectification, I kept trying to think of cheesy, cliched things to capture. Licking the lollipop was as cliche as I could get, and when Rae started trying it out, I knew it might work well for the cover. I ended up having her lick and suck on that candy in a variety o...

We stilll had the lollipop intact, so I handed it to her after she had changed. I'm not sure what I said the moment this was taken, possibly something crude or sarcastic, but it must have been funny enough to receive such a genuine reaction.

With my assistance, she finally managed to stand up on her skates again. As she stood up, she once again looked so lovely that I told her that I had to take at least a few more shots of her like that. Of course, she easily obliged me.

I stood up to help her immediately after she had fallen, asking if she was okay. Thankfully she was smiling and laughing the whole time, confirming to me that she had enough padding back there to have not suffered any serious damage.

I asked her if she could crouch down a bit, to come down to my level on the cement. I was able to get this one shot before she fell over backwards, landing squarely on her backside, which I didn't capture because I was so afraid in the moment for her safety.
