Here's some work in progress images from one of my most recent pieces, to give you an idea of my process and the way I finish pieces. 

Initially I struggled a lot with perfecting the look of the oversized pump gag in combination with the hogtie. Its a big balance of stretching the jaw, but maintaining that tightness of the head being pulled back.
