Update on D.I.E.T. Development

Hey everyone,

I've been a bit silent recently - apologies for not a whole lot of transparency.  Work has been quite a bit more involved than I thought.  I went from working normal 8 hour days at home to traveling six days a week, working 8 AM to 8 PM.  I've been slowly working on D.I.E.T.

It's not looking good for me having it finished by the end of tomorrow (in fact, it's 11:35 PM right now and I'm about to get a few hours of sleep before I wake up at 5 ...

Wanted to take a moment and share a bit of background into some things (without getting too detailed):

I typically have to travel quite a bit for work - especially during the holiday season.  I've often found myself returning home on the weekends trying to get as much as I can done in order to continue to make content on a consistent schedule.

That can obviously be stressful when I only have 1 or 2 days to relax - it's much easier for me to finish up a day of work ...

Linda embraces your preferences

This definitely gave me the feeling of a girl who just is a bit socially awkward.  Once dating her and sharing your preferences, she hesitantly agrees but it quickly gets out of control.

I'm thinking she would be called Elise...

Seems like she would have been the kind of girl who didn't like the name she was given at birth and decided to change it to something edgy but not too edgy.  Agree?

D.I.E.T. - Version 0.8.0 - Teaser Image

Hey everyone!

Just a quick teaser for the next version of D.I.E.T. - I will also be updating version 0.7.0 to version 0.7.1 which includes a few bug fixes, some spelling issues, and a visual change to Rebecca who showed up at the tail end of one of the storylines (that minor update should be out in the next couple of days).

Hey there!  For those of you who have played D.I.E.T., you'll remember a character named Rebecca showing up at one point.  My original plan was to use that model (the one from these images) for the next version of D.I.E.T., but the more I looked at it, the more "cartoonish" she started to feel.  So I've ditched this visual as the main model for the next version of D.I.E.T.

Hey everyone!

Good news, I think this version is rather stable.  The total game is nearly up to 3 GB now, so I apologize for the likely lengthy download.

I'm currently uploading the PC version of it now.  I still have to load the project files over to my Mac and then export the Mac version (which I will do sometime after I wake up).

I'm waiting on PolarisDreamer to wrap up some things with the final stage of the story, and then I've got some work to do to complete it and run some tests before release.  My goal is to have it release by Sunday night (10/9/22), but no promises.  Appreciate the patience and looking forward to getting it out as soon as it's finished!
