The stream currently runs at 9pm GMT/5pm EDT/2pm PDT Tuesday/Friday; some people have expressed preference to move it to a later time slot.
I can do this, but I figured I'd leave it to the poll to decide just to make sure I've getting a broad representation of the opinions.
There will be a second poll up shortly for what to work on next after the Runesmith - have an idea for that, leave it in the comments here.
Obviously not everyone is interested in the stream, so I'm sorry...

...okay, so that's a bit of a long title. The title ended up becoming about a whole Twitter post :D
These are the same as shared on Reddit earlier, with some tweaks based on the feedback so far.
Versatile Fighting and Trick Shooter will probably be updated soon; the 4 striker feats are this pass.
What weapons and methods of fighting should be next? What character builds have you dreamed of, but the current feats don't support? Flails?
I imagine a feat for Flails, Warh...

This is a lot later than I'd hoped... and doesn't have the Expanded Toolbox update, but I wanted to go ahead and post this. There is a definitely a danger with fussing with something too long.
Before we divine into the change long, I'll toss out a reminder that I'll be streaming at 9pm GMT/5pm EDT/2pm PDT today! We'll be working on the Runesmith subclass, but if you have any questions about this, swing by the stream and we can chat them over.
You can catch it live on Twitch in a f...

Since I've been behind on the Artifcer Update and I had scheduled a stream today, I figured I'd take that chance to spend the first 15-20 minutes or so of the stream talking about the upcoming updates for it, and sort of talking through them. I think that sort of thing might be an interesting conversation in terms of how design and balance works.
But I won't spend too long on that, and after that we'll move into the Runesmith design once more.
The Artificer update is taking a bit ...

I will be once more streaming tomorrow on Twitch. Last time went pretty well, and we'll be picking up where we left off. For bonus points, we'll try moving to twice a week next week, doing the same time (9pm GMT, 5pm EDT, 2pm PDT) on both Tuesday and Friday. This will not be long term sustainable, but we'll try that as our quarantine get together special during ...

Based on a patreon request, I take a stab in unfamiliar new territory - a Blood Hunter class.
Design Notes:
- The request was more to draw from the primal blood hunter aspect of vampire, than the sauve charmy kind of vampire; I feel that fits with the Blood Hunter's gritty take anyway.
- I wanted to keep and emphasize the Blood Hunter take damage to deal damage style mechanics. It's not my usual design, but I wanted this to feel like a Blood Hunter subclass.
- I ...

Hi folks, this might be an the unwise sort of update in a business sense but one that I feel needs to be sent out.
The world is a crazy place right now, and I know that many of you have been impacted by what's going on with COVID-19 and the accompanying economic woes.
For the month of April, I will keep anyone that was previously at the $5 or more dollar tier in the credits if they drop reduce their pledge, and making all polls for the month open to all patrons (the reward of $3 d...

If there's a Circle of the Moon, it seems only sensible there should be a Circle of the Sun. Based on patreon request we bring a little more fire and radiance to the druid line up. I had a few design goals in mind here.
* While I think it makes sense to have a dualism in a Circle of the Sun of burning away and than helping new growth, the base Druid class already has a ton of healing and plant magic, so the subclass features don't have to represent that aspect heavily.
* It's abil...

The Occutlist will launch with the Witch and Shaman subclasses. The Occutlist is a Wisdom based full caster, with a talent/upgrade/invocation system called Occult Rites.
The Witch is a spell caster with empowered hexes, familiars, a broad base of spell casting, and abilities and rites that grant the knack for brewing potions, animating stuff, and cursing stuff. It splits at level 1 into Black Coven, White Coven and Green Coven.
The Shaman is a bul...

I've linked to the Expanded Options here because that's where most of the changes were, but there are some changes in the main document.
I decided to style this as 1.2.3 after all due to the fact the changes in the main document are fairly minor (most of the changes are in the Expanded Options), and it doesn't introduce a new subclass, just a new Discipline (for now).
The following is the Change Log:

I do these occasionally, and will be doing them somewhat monthly going forward. This poll helps guide what I spend my time working on.
Note that I don't promise to follow this poll zealously, I am probably at some degree working on everything on this poll, it mostly just helps me prioritize things, and what to pick up next after I'm finished something.
You can vote for as many things as you want - a vote represents that you want to see an update, revision, or expans...

What happens when a Fighter spends half as much time thinking about how to optimally make stabbing devices as how to optimally stab people? The Tech Knight. A "1/2 Artificer" Fighter subclass that specializes more into the various weapons of intervention, with simplified gadgets to round out their arsenal, and an optional integration to my Artificer.
Some of the weapons will be familiar as modified version of the Gadgetsmith weapons, but most of them are brand new for this iteration of ...

A new Bard subclass based on a patreon request. Something a little different this time; it's always a tricky thing to find a thematic line for an idea that is also a new mechanical hook for that class.
The original idea stemmed from making something related to glassblowing; I combined a few ideas I had into this subclass for that - first of all, a Bard as I feel that artistic nature shines through there, and as well it has enough room for a few interesting mechanics.
Another idea ...

I hate to make another update without it being new stuff, but as I've been silent on all channels a bit while travelling, I did want to make brief update to say that my travels and nearly over and I'll be back on Reddit, Discord, and, of course, Patreon.
We should see at least 3-4 posts this weekend as I start to post the stuff I've been working on while I've been away.
Appreciate the patience, and hope you all have been having loads of fun in your D&D games out there! :)

...There will be a bit of a break from these updates soon, but there won't be a bit of a break from work happening on them.
This update features:
- Enchanting tables are starting to fleshed out. Not yet complete (as there is a lot to go), but now it has more than the barebones (still adding things to it as we speak, so depending on when you see it might have more or less :) )
- Poisons got added to Alchemy. Poisons are one of those things that I reckon are central to cr...

So this has currently the absolute bear bones of enchanting, definitely a WIP, just some samples as I start to dig into it.
It also has a prototype of a javascript based solution to endless tables I'm playing around with; right now that part is just a tech demo to see if I could make it work in GMBinder; I don't know if that will be included in the final or not; that is a lot of work to make, but something I wanted to play around with; might to be too ambitious for the current scope of ...

We aren't ready for the first draft of the Occultist, but while that's simmering I figured I'd share something of a preview for it in the form of some of the spells it would be getting.
The Occultist will launch with ~20-30 new spells (the Wizard has about 34 unique spells to it); this is 9 of those new spells, so about half to a third of the list. In addition to these spells, they will of course have access to a large number the existing spells.
Some of these spells aren't unique...

With the 1.2.2, the Psion is ready to head for 1.3 which will be either a new subclass, or a new Discipline. Vote for what you want to see!
Short Description of Options:
- Clairsentence, powers that let you see the past, present, but mostly the future.
- Metamorph. Some may note that I removed all the morphing and such from Enhancement; I could bring back a discipline for that (sort of like splitting telekinesis and kinetics, I think that makes sense to have as differen...

This isn't a huge update, I'd say it's more setting up for 1.3 than a real 1.3... which is why it's called 1.2.2 :)
But it does have a lot of minor balance tweaks.
The Expanded Options for Psion are now available. Most of you have already seen the main entry there (Nullification) but that will continue to grow and expand.

Now the cover image hopefully makes more sense!
This covers the framework for Blacksmithing - there's a LOT to add to still, but this introduces the framework for it as well as the all the template for weapon building (this is actually where that template originally came from!) and starts to get into the ores and effects.
There will be a lot more coming here for the effects of metals and alloys, as well as armor and non-weapon items you can craft.
I have also added monster...

First off... this is a deeply incomplete version. This isn't the most complete version I've made over the past months even, and it's by all rights too early to share. But I've decided to share this version, because I feel like this is probably the direction things are going, and I figure I should include you all in that process.
High level overview:
- This version of crafting aims to be quick. Some things take longer to craft (as we get into Blacksmith, we'll see some 4-8 hour...

...and now for something unexpected...
No, this is not a general pivot to the WotC Artificer or anything, this was a patreon request that I said I didn't mind doing as it seemed like a fun idea. It was an interesting project, and gave me a chance to fiddle with how the WotC Artificer subclasses work.
The core concept to work from was a magical painter of sorts, and I wanted to capture the themes that best fit that; it certainly doesn't do the most damage of any subclass out there ...

A patreon request subclass, it's still in its early days, but wanted to share it out with you all you.
- It's a crowded space with Storm Sorcerer, Storm Clerics, etc, so I wanted to ensure the mechanics were unique from those while still being clearly thematic of the tempest/storm powers.
- I wanted to make it like most Warlocks where how deeply you went into the subclass always felt like it had some value; the a first level feature that is definitely better with the higher l...

Well, this is admittedly squeaking in just over the line, and will continue to be revised a bit in the next month; brought to by a patreon request, this is a new Discipline for Psions, and what will be the start of it's expanded mindbox of additional options.
The power to reject magic and all of the supernatural nonsense with the force of mind and will, this power is disruptive and the worst nightmare of those that seek to make reality dance to their whims.
This one will probably ...

I know things have been a little slow around the Holidays, and for the most part thats because, well, Holidays took up some time away from the important things, like D&D and making the content thereof.
But some progress has been made, and, more importantly, we are 150 paterons! (152 even!)
This means we've hit the new goal; tentatively named the Occultist, a Wisdom full caster ...

Yeah, this one is a bit different. Based off a patreon request, here's the College of Lyrical Genius; thematically it's based off a 'rap bard', with some other related thematic elements swirled in to make a true Bard of Bards.
As it Bard tradition, it allows you to get into more trouble with your mouth than out of it, but this is a bard that diversifies the portfolio a bit by having some more offensive options in its repertoire.
If simply defeating your foes ju...
