So, a little backstory... Everyone in the group knows each other from childhood, back when they were attending a crummy summer camp. Drumstick over here happened to be the 'junior counsellor' in charge of this little group... which is really just a way to say, his parents sent their 15-year-old kid to summer camp, where he basically "looked after" the younger kids with no wage, because child labour is illega...

Big boy alert! It's the costar of Funfair... and my husband. Hands off! Hands off, I said! He's mine!

Well, he looks exactly like he did in Funfair, so at least I was consistent. He's got the same personality too - gentle, outdoorsy, simple and a heart of gold. While he's quite proud of showing off his bare chest, he's stupidly prudish when it comes to showing his lower half. (God I love him so much.)

Oh yeah, and he's fuzzy.

It's the little champ! I've worked a lot on this guy since this mugshot, and I have to say... he might be my favourite out of the whole cast. (Don't tell the others... They'll never forgive me!)

On the surface, he's just your shy, nervous turtle, and he's studying to get a PhD. But, he tries very hard to put himself out there and try new things, now that he's reunited with his old friends. He may be slow, but he doesn't give up! Stay positive, always!!

Grawr! It's our rich little tiger kid, all grown up!

Nowadays, he's soft-spoken and knowledgeable; if you went on a date with him, expect it to take you to a laid-back cafe or even a board game parlour. Probably in a well-to-do area (I mean, his family does own a whole fucking island). Although, he's been looking to rekindle with his wild side... who knows where you'll end up!

But yes, he does look super basic here. I got a better grasp of him more recently. :>

I should mention, this story and Funfair are not connected in any way, although they do take place in similar universes. Conker and Banjo are childhood friends, Conker lost Berri in a tragic incident, he's more of a downer and has receded in a life of drinking and listening to moody music...

What is this! A woem... a waom... woe-man? Wo-MAN? A lady! Well yes, she's the only redeeming quality of this story, if you happen to be against sausage fests.

Between her original appearance and this, you might say she's had a *little* growth spur. She's a bit more mature and down-to-earth than her sausaged peers, but she can get carried away in her thoughts, philosophical and artistic alike.

Diddy also has a crush on her (as he does most people)... Meanwhile, she's horny for Kru...

Diddy-boy's all about music, chillin', being indomitably RAUCOUS, and showing the world why he means business. Monkey business. Expect lots of japes and hijinks to occur when he shows his face.

These fine youngsters might seem familiar to you... They're from DKR! I was pitching the idea for this new story way back in 2018, just around the hiatus between part 2 and 3 of Funfair.

This here is just a quick sketch, but a lot of what you see is still true today... or is it!

I put the project on hold for a while after this one, to focus on Funfair. That's why there's fewer sprites this time around. That said, I was still planning to have others in the game too, but I didn't want to elaborate on concept art that would soon become obsolete.

I was working on this basically at the same time as I was making part 2 of Funfair. You can tell the art style is of its time... but I still like him.

Clothes are a layer on top of the naked body, and that's still a feature I'm planning. You were meant to attack these naughty guys and their clothes would fly off the more damage they took.

I made this back in 2017. Originally, the plan was for the game to be a sort of tactical RPG with movement and combat similar to Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. I've since scrapped that idea, since programming AI was well beyond my own abilities and that of the people volunteering their skills for the cause. It also didn't showcase the assets (and their own assets wink wink) well enough.
