NYCC WRAP UP!

New York comiccon was SO much fun!! I'm so happy with how all my new costumes turned out! This really was the perfect mini vacation before the hell of October really begins.
I can feel my body wanting to give in to getting sick right now but I won't let it! I'll be sick in December when I have nothing to do!

New Suit!

Finished sewing up my symbiote black Cat suit for NYCC! I can't believe we leave in 2 days!!! This is gonna be so fun! I'll be wearing this Thursday night for the party I'm hosting as well as at the con one of the days!

First Shot Back From Nerdbot Comn

Here's my whole Karin costume from yesterday! I'm so pumped about this wig that I got on amazon! I had so much fun cosplaying her! Rian and I also shot a whole bunch of video with Law and hopefully I'll have that for you guys soon! Today I'm going over to Hendo's to work on some con crunch stuff. I'm seeing my first pair of shoes into a spider suit! Hope all goes well!

I had the most productive day yesterday! Maid of Might and Rian Synnth came over and we all got so much work done on our new costumes!!! It was so nice to get back to working on stuff that was just for me and that I actually wanted to work on!
Felt like old times!

I still have to style the wig, add a waistband, and a add few details to the gloves and shoes but I think it's looking super cute!

I'll be wearing this with the girls on Saturday at Nerdbot Con for our Street Fighte...

Aurora Group!

Our Aurora group at D23 was so fun yesterday! Our dresses looked so amazing together! I actually filmed the entire day yesterday so today I'll be putting together a video for my new YouTube channel! Freak Show Hawkgirl

Put this outfit together on set for this shoot. I picked up a pretty awesome set of wings from Amazon for only $50, gathered some scrap fabric that was on the floor, and found the rope and the ball for my mace at Michaels Craft Store on the way to set.
Luckily, you can't go wrong with silk and suede, and the "dress" turned out pretty nice!

This ones goin up on insta as soon as I figure out a good quote or caption!

Cosplay Senpai, Phil Mizuno, asked me to be Belle with his AMAZING Beast cosplay for AnimeExpo in 19 days so naturally I'm making an entirely new ballgown to go with it!!! 😅😅😅I've already started on the bodice (photo will follow this post) and so far it's going really well!

Details...

Still waiting on shots from my Saber shoot last week but in the meantime here's a close up of some details on the front of the bodice! I'm so happy with how it came out! Only a few things to fix before it's perfect. (The trim on the shoulder needs one extra angled piece coming off the bottom.)

I realized late last night in a panic that I still have to make the tabard for the armor as well as finish Rin, a commission, and finish packing up all of your rewards before I leave for Fanime on Thursd...

This is it.

This is the project Jess  and I have been working on for the past few months! We've hit so many bumps in the road but we've made it so far! The craziest thing is, if there were only still snow that was easily accessible SOMEWHERE in America, this video would be done! You'd be watching it RIGHT NOW!

Today I'm shooting just the dress with AliveAlf and I couldn't be more excited!

Home stretch on Saber... and UPDATE!

Sorry I've been so afk guys! I've been scrambling to get Saber done by this weekend so that I can have a chance at being hired by Funimation to be Saber at their booth for Anime Expo! This would be a dream come true for me and I can probably lay my Fate obsession to rest after that. For a little bit anyway. But this can only happen if I finish the damn cosplay. They've already asked to borrow Excalibur for the booth. Now I just have to convince them to take me with it!
