TUSH - Stay Down (WIP 6)

This is without a shadow of a doubt one of the hardest animations I've had to do yet. We are all people (except for the lizards among us) and know instinctively how a person walks. We know when it looks right and wrong. As a result, I have to comb through this cartoon from all angles, and watch it almost endlessly on a loop just to find oddities. Doing it in perspective is also extremely difficult.

A new challenger approaches.

So, after a bit of time away I felt like this cartoon needed an injection of just... something. So after some playing around today I realized that 1.) this cartoon would take FOREVER to do alone and 2.) average viewers want to know who Jennifer is talking to. So I figured I could both shorten the cartoon to its main action (the walk) and introduce a new - yet familiar - face. You can see bits of it in his reflection :)

Content trickle has been slow. Combination of my Freelance Gig and life working together to ensure I have little personal work time. I have a full week of work ahead though! I appreciate your patience and you sticking around :)

Using money for the Cause!

Thanks for hanging in there guys - I've began my search for helpers today! I'm gunna use the money from this Patreon to pay them for their work. Thank you so much everyone! Once I find suitable help, more things will get done much faster pace :)

TUSH - Stay Down (WIP 4)

Today, I penciled in a bunch more poses at the end, started to work on bridging the key drawings, and mapped out the timing! I also started the lip sync phase so it saves a whole bunch of time later. I'm going to have to spend a good amount of time on her hands here early as well.

We are in the foundational phase. Not much glory or glamor but this is where the magic happens at its core. I feel like this is gunna be a good one :)

I made progress (I think major progress) on Jennifers walk today! I added a bit of secondary action to it to, and overall think its coming together nicely! Tomorrow I will draw the second section, where Jennifer starts getting more playful.

TUSH 3 - Stay Down (WIP 2)

Life has kicked me in the nuts the past few days and I haven't REALLY been able to work on this animation. But that changed today! I plugged in basic audio, and as a result I have more acting I am attempting!

So ones Saexy got back to me with the audio work I combed though it and implemented the best of the best she delivered - and MAN she delivered. Once I plugged it in, I put in some basic heavy footsteps. Once I heard Jennifers tough guy voice give way to a short giggle, I knew I HA...

TUSH 3 - Stay Down (WIP 1)

So it begins today! I laid out all the groundwork and began animation today! So in the animation, Jen saunters in heavily from off screen (her footsteps sounds and walking speed will sell it), and looks down at us - then delivers a reassuring taunt.

Today is only day 1 and I feel like we are on an EXCELLENT track. Her tied down drawings are heavily based on references I collected (and shot) and I think the drawings look far better for it. I look forward to going on this animation journ...

TUSH - “Shulkie”

So I started designing a chibi version of Jen and She-Hulk for quicker, bite-sized cartoons - tentatively titled “Shulkie”. That will be the next drawing you see. This is a preliminary sketch of both her forms :D

Also, I start streaming for the new animation 9am PST on my YouTube tomorrow! Pre-Production officially ends and production begins :)

TUSH - Beach Day Attire

If Jen were to go to the beach (spoilers: she loves the beach) she's got the attitude and confidence to dress as the situation calls for it. Just another day in her totally average Southern Californian life. Hope you guys like it!

I fixed her leg and foot muscles to where I don't cringe when I look at em! I'll color it very soon, I think I might just stick to Cel Shading this time... we shall see :D

I'm trying to give the leg muscles a LOT more attention so you can believe em. And the feet are giving me ABSOLUTE hell - but I kind of like how its coming :D Sorry its taking so long, I gotta balance a couple things out!

So here is my first update! I used the model Marie Temara as a reference due to her proportions being more or less what I imagine Jen would turn into as She-Hulk. I'm also putting her in a sunhat and letting her hair flow. Jen might bun it when fighting, but letting her hair be free feels as nice to her as any other woman.

I'm going to amp up her muscles in her legs and abs - but overall I like her shapes :D

Fixed it! I decided to stick with the suit I already made for Jen - but I stuck with her hair color change! I put her next to the drawing I made for She-Hulk last week to see if they stack - I feel they do! I will have Jen's actual drawing done tomorrow :D

ANIMATION IDEA SHOWDOWN

So - I just had an amazing idea... and I need to check with you guys. I just imagined EXACTLY how Jennifer would deliver the line in the picture. It would make a truly TERRIFIC animation AND its doable.

So - I must ask you guys since we already voted. Which of these two choices would you like me to animate? The picture I drew recently, or the idea we voted on in the last poll - the waking up one :D

TUSH - Lawyer Attire

This is more or less how my version of Jennifer would dress when practicing law in her She-Hulk form. She wears an XXL suit top, a short dress as a skirt, leggings as socks, and chooses not to wear shoes to suppress the sound of her footsteps in the halls of justice. Yes, her briefcase is almost like a lunchbox.

TUSH Extra Assignment - Jen Walters Normal Form

So one aspect I have not touched in forever is Jennifer Walters' normal form. I haven't touched it since The Sign, and I think it might be beneficial to take another stab at it. So my next illustration assignment will be that - I kinda wanna coincide these two images and link them up stylistically :D

Update: Animation, 2 Drawings in Dev

So last night I got a MAJOR urge to draw Jennifer in perspective. I just had to post em but as per usual, you guys will get the posts and updates first! I also have the Lawyer outfit pretty much squared away! Linework and shading next :D
