Patron Choice Drawing - 2015-12
Added 2015-12-28 21:34:02 +0000 UTCThe winning idea of the voting for the first "Patron Choice" drawing was "a pony interacting with a human". Without any more information, it was up to me top fill up the blanks, and so I went with this illustration of Lyra playing her Lyre along with Skyward Sword's Zelda (yeah, I know that she's not human, strictly speaking, but she's close enough).
I took advantage of this opportunity to try out shading with several different textured brushes, and this resulted in a noticeably inconsistent look across the featured characters. I also experimented with the rendering of clouds and stony surfaces, with varying results. Lessons were learned, and I hope to remember to apply them the next time around. :)
I hope this piece is appealing not only to the patrons who voted for it, but also everyone else. Thank you once again for your precious support!
