Where Are my Comics? An open thread.

Hey Battles!
We’ve been seeing this pop up more often and I want to be clear about our intentions. We’ve answered this question multiple times here: ( https://www.patreon.com/ragszombie/community) and I don’t want to say it over and over.
We’re not here to take advantage of anyone! If you need a refresher on what your Patreon pledges afford you, here it is:
As Patreon supporters this is what you’ll receive:
1) Every comic you receive will be Uncensored.
2) You will *NEVER* miss out on any content.
3) You will receive a variant cover. Variant covers are extremely limited editions. We are not able to offer back issues at this point.
4) Each comic here will be a compilation from previous issues. This means that everyone that is contributing right now will receive issue 0, 1 and 2 in one complete package. So, by the time issue 7 hits, you should have 1 complete RAGS Vol 1: A Zombie Shopping Spree ARC.
Since we were picked up by Antarctic Press we’ve been working on improving and revising the rewards so that everyone is truly getting their monies worth. If at any time you feel supporting us is not worth it, that we’re taking too long, etc. we will refund you the money you’ve pledged since joining.
We are not planning to do back issues. This is why:
1) People tend to join up for a month, to get one thing and then bail. This hurts us as we start conducting forward planning. If we want to do more things like posters, or statues and FUNKO’s, we’ll need to see what the reliability is of our income so we can get special items and SWAG out to you without going into the red.
2) Rarity. We want these variant covers to be rare. And by rare we mean RARE. We’re only going to do a handful of the issue 1 variant. And we’re only doing a handful of the issue 2 variant. Just the right amount for the people who have pledged through the month.
We are sorry that we can’t draw faster, color faster, letter faster, and edit, QA/QC, and print faster, but we have a process in place to ensure that we’re giving the best we can give, in between our normal day jobs. We care about RAGS and we care about our Patrons. We’re trying to do justice to everyone who is invested in this project.
Will we ever do back issues?
We’re looking into it. We’ve had to re-strategize our plans since being picked up by Antarctic. We’ve had to lean forward hard to hit deadlines for our publisher and coordinate expectations for the company.
We want to thank everyone who’s been with us so far for their patience and understanding. This has definitely been a team effort and we couldn’t have made it this far without you.
~ Brian.

It's nice to see good comics and I like to see different ideas put out there from time to time. I'll support folks that have good ideas and give back to their fans. I just happened to stumble onto a printing in the local comic shop and then found out here.

2018-05-10 01:22:07 +0000 UTCWhen issue 2 gets complete, you'll be getting issue 0+1+2 in one complete package for a single continuous read. We're still coming up with better reward ideas since being picked up by AP. Everything here will be uncensored and will be the only physical version that will be released as such.

2018-05-09 23:56:38 +0000 UTCWhen you say issues 0, 1, and two in one package, do you mean that as in one mini-trade paperback type book or three separate issues in one mailed package? (I look at a lot of legal documents so I sometimes overthink things.)

2018-05-02 19:00:13 +0000 UTCThanks Owen! We are planning on seeing this run through to its completion. I just felt the need to clarify for those who are new or were confused about our intentions so everyone is on the same sheet of music. We're doing our best to be as open and transparent as possible.

2018-05-02 11:21:35 +0000 UTCHi Brian, I think everyone here is a big fan of what you guys are doing especially considering the toxic SJW environment in the comic book industry at the moment. I appreciate the regular updates and I am happy to provide my support each month for as long as you are willing to continue this run for the community here.
