This piece started as a little “warm-up”. I worked on it no more than an hour per day, and the final result came together in about 3 days. I’ll keep using this process for future projects, it helps me create more content consistently, while learning to work faster.

Like this one, many works will be posted publicly a day after appearing on Patreon ($5+ tiers), and the WIPs/process will be shared here while I’m working on them ($10+ tiers)💖

I think I went a little overboard with details; compared to my usual style, I tried to give a lot more emphasis to the color composition, especially in the last panel. I think this would have taken a lot less time if it weren't for my crippling perfectionism lol. I don't think it's perfect; I know I still have a lot to improve as an artist, but either way, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out.

Also, related to this delay: my first steps as a freelance artist have been pretty rough, with lots of stress and some stuff going on at home. Madre's Update - Quitting my day job

July Update

I’ve been very absent this month, and I want to acknowledge that and say I’m sorry. July has been emotionally rough, and I didn’t have the time or energy to be present here on Patreon.

Update on Exclusive Content & Early Access!

The consensus was clear: some of the exclusive Patreon pieces will now be posted as early access instead. That means they’ll go public later on (usually after a month), but you’ll still get to see them here first!
