MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

As per new weekly schedule, I have focused solely on animating this week but I’ll be focusing on the MMO series next week! Stay tuned then for more info!

Although it was a little late for Halloween, I hope you enjoyed the video!

Unfortunately that’s all I have to show this week as I didn’t practice drawing after getting back from the trip. My apologies.

Sorry it’s a little short this week, but I hope you don’t mind. Partly it’s because I’m a little demotivated ever since coming back from my trip. I haven’t been able to stop thinking, and so I hope you’ll allow me to indulge in my thoughts for a bit.

During the 2 weeks away, I had the chance to really ask myself an important question that’s been on my mind, only this time without being distracted. That question was “What do I want for the future of RandoWis?”, which expanded to “What does the future of RandoWis currently look like?” and “Is that what I want it to look like?”.

I never found my answer overseas, and but ever since coming back, I know I wanted it to look different. RandoWis has been around for more than a decade now, and it’s dawning onto me that I’m no longer in my twenties, let alone my teens when I first started on this journey. In 10 years, is RandoWis really still going to be short videos every couple of months, with the MMO series still taking forever to produce one chapter, and irregular RadioWis Podcast episodes?

It’s a mess. We could be more (and better), and I know we can get there. Currently just trying to figure out how.

With the ideas I have in mind and the path it may take to get there, RandoWis’ vibes might change moving forward. Perhaps it is the fear of sacrificing what’s comfortable and familiar when trying something new which keeps me in place. However, the current picture not being the best one that RandoWis could be is what I fear even more. And so, as gradually as it may take, let’s see where this goes!

今週は少し短くて申し訳ありませんが、お許しください。旅行から戻ってから少しやる気が起きないのも理由の一つです。考えが止まらず、しばらく自分の思考に浸らせてほしいと思います。

2週間の旅の間、ずっと気になっていた重要な問いを、今回は邪魔されることなく真剣に自問する機会を得ました。その問いとは「RandoWisの未来に何を求めるか？」であり、それは「RandoWisの未来像は現在どう見えるか？」「それが私の望む姿なのか？」へと広がりました。

海外では答えは見つかりませんでしたが、帰国して以来、私は違う未来を望んでいると確信しています。RandoWisは10年以上も続いており、この旅を始めた10代の頃はおろか、20代ですらなくなったことに気づき始めています。10年後も、本当に数ヶ月に一度の短い動画、MMOシリーズの1章制作に永遠にかかり、不定期なRadioWisポッドキャストという状態が続いているのだろうか？

これは混乱だ。もっと（そしてより良く）なれるはずだ。そしてそこに到達できると確信している。今はただ、その方法を模索しているところだ。

頭にある構想と、そこに至る道筋を考えると、RandoWisの雰囲気は今後変わっていくかもしれない。新しいことに挑戦する際に、慣れ親しんだ居心地の良いものを犠牲にする恐怖が、私を現状に留まらせているのかもしれない。しかし、RandoWisが本来あるべき姿ではない現状こそが、さらに恐ろしい。だから、たとえゆっくりとした歩みであっても、この先どこへ向かうのか、見ていこう！
