MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

I have focused solely on producing the updates for our streaming channel these past 2 weeks but I’ll be focusing on the MMO series once I am done! Stay tuned then for more info!

この2週間はストリーミング・チャンネルのアップデートの制作に専念していたが、それが終わったらMMOシリーズに集中するつもりだ！では、またの機会に！

Animation Update | アニメの進捗:

I’ve spent the past 2 weeks desperately trying to finish the 3D upgrades for our streaming channel. As such, I intentionally missed the previous update as I thought I would have been able to finish everything by this week if I had fully utilised last weekend to continue working.

While it’s unfortunate that I’m not done, and I also would like to apologise for missing out a weekly update last week, I have made quite a bit of progress.

I have managed to finish the following: modelling 5 characters, a car, backgrounds, created textures for certain elements within the background, set-up cameras and animation using the 3D assets produced, and have successfully managed to produce a demo version of the final product!

Here are some of the character models I’ve managed to finish!

この2週間、ストリーミング・チャンネルの3Dアップグレードを終わらせようと必死だった。そのため、先週末をフルに活用して作業を続ければ、今週までにすべてを終わらせることができただろうと思い、意図的に前回の更新を休んでいた。

まだ終わっていないのは残念だし、先週の週次更新ができなかったこともお詫びしたい。

キャラクター5人、車1台、背景のモデリング、背景の一部要素のテクスチャ作成、制作した3Dアセットを使ったカメラとアニメーションのセットアップ、そして最終製品のデモ版の制作です！

Also, below is a somewhat secret update for a character that fans of the streaming channel may be familiar with. No spoilers though!

また、以下は、ストリーミング・チャンネルのファンにはおなじみのキャラクターの、ちょっと秘密めいた最新情報だ。ネタバレはありません！

One thing to note, the characters you see above (except Puss) were not completely made from scratch! I found and purchased a base model that was royalty-free and had a basic 3d humanoid model already done. From there I made my own customisations to suit each individual character here. Though some of the characters required so much deletion and recereation, I guess I can argue that they were 90% made from scratch, haha. Also, producing Lu’s model took an entire day for me because her hair was just so complicated for me to recreate, that and my lack of competency in 3D.

The car you see below here is another example of a free base model that I painfully recycled into a car for the streaming channel.

ひとつ注意してほしいのは、上にあるキャラクターたち（プスを除く）は、完全にゼロから作ったわけではないということだ！ロイヤリティフリーで、基本的な3D人型モデルがすでに出来上がっているベースモデルを見つけて購入した。そこから各キャラクターに合うように自分でカスタマイズしたんだ。一部のキャラクターは削除や作り直しが多かったので、90％はゼロから作ったと言ってもいいかもしれません。また、ルゥのモデルの制作には丸一日かかったよ。彼女の髪型を再現するのがあまりにも複雑だったからね。

この下に写っているクルマも、私がストリーミング・チャンネル用のクルマに苦労してリサイクルした、無料のベースモデルの一例だ。

I then created the scenes for the opening and ending videos for our streaming channel. I have greyed out everything as I would like the theme and visuals to be a surprise when we start streaming again and I don’t want to risk leaks or spoilers, so my apologies!

そして、私たちのストリーミングチャンネルのオープニングとエンディングビデオのシーンを作りました。テーマとビジュアルは配信再開時のサプライズにしたいし、リークやネタバレのリスクを冒したくないので、すべてグレーアウトしています！

One final thing I managed to finish was setting up the 3D models of my friends and I (4 of us) for motion tracking!

最後に、友人と僕（4人）の3Dモデルをモーショントラッキング用にセットアップした！

Don’t mind everyone facing forward as I didn’t plug in my webcam when taking these screenshots. Remember to keep this a secret please! I’d like to surprise everyone with the upcoming return!

So, I’m glad of the progress I’ve made these past couple of weeks, but I’m still trying my best to finish them asap so that I can return to making the MMO series again. As always, I’m sorry if that is what you’re looking forward to the most as hurdles keep popping up when producing the MMO series due to the way I schedule myself and my projects.

I’ll keep trying my best to get things back on track!

というわけで、ここ数週間の進捗は嬉しいけど、またMMOシリーズの制作に戻れるよう、一刻も早く完成させようと頑張っているところです。いつものことだが、MMOシリーズを制作する際、僕のスケジュールの立て方とプロジェクトの関係でハードルが次々と出てくるので、それを一番楽しみにしているのであれば申し訳ない。

また軌道に乗るように頑張ります！

I don’t really have much else to say this week after sharing everything else above. Just know that I’m always grateful for the patience and understanding you have as I produce whatever it is I produce!

One thing I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet is that I plan to use the 3D models above in future videos for RandoWis as well. Specifically the videos about my trip to Japan 2 years ago! I hope to restart the production of that video soon with the new 3D models once they’re done! I’ll be sure to update you here when I do!
