Hey everybody!

Weekly update time!

My apologies for the silence last week! In short, I had to travel overseas for a little bit last week but I forgot to make a short post about it before leaving as I got preoccupied with the current animation and Coloso announcement. After that I got REALLY sick when I got back this week.

I explain more below!

In summary:

– Next (client) animation is in the works!

– Managed to make some progress for the streaming channel!

– Did not manage to work on the MMO series.

– Did not manage to practice drawing.

毎週更新の時間です!

先週はご無沙汰して申し訳ありませんでした！というのも、先週はちょっと海外出張があったのですが、その前にアニメやコロソの発表のことで頭がいっぱいで、短い記事を書くのを忘れていたのです。その後、今週戻ってきたら本当に体調を崩してしまった。

詳しくは後述する！

- 次の（クライアントの）アニメーションを制作中！

- ストリーミング・チャンネルの制作が少し進んだ！

- MMOシリーズに手をつけられなかった。

- 絵の練習ができなかった。

MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

To keep it short, I had intended to work on the MMO series this week after getting back from a short overseas trip last week. Unfortunately, I caught a throat infection which turned into an all out flu that’s still ongoing as I write this. As such, I couldn’t work on the MMO series without constantly being in pain, and instead opted to do work on the 3D models for our streaming channel which wasn’t as physically taxing (because I didn’t have to bend over to draw, which hurts too).

手短に言うと、先週短い海外旅行から帰ってきてから、今週はMMOシリーズに取り組むつもりだった。残念なことに、私は喉の感染症にかかり、それが全身のインフルエンザに変わり、これを書いている今もまだ続いている。そのため、常に痛みに耐えながらMMOシリーズに取り組むことはできず、代わりに肉体的な負担の少ないストリーミング・チャンネル用の3Dモデルの仕事をすることにした（腰をかがめて描く必要がないので、これも痛い）。

You might notice that only Rando has a proper face, that’s because I wanted to make sure that the workflow from start to finish had no issues with one 3D model first before I repeated the process on every other 3d model. I’m trying to save as much time as possible by making as many mistakes once and only repeating the steps that work on the others, so please don’t mind the faces on everyone else as they’re still incomplete!

We’re slowly getting it done!

ランドだけがちゃんとした顔をしていることにお気づきかもしれないが、これは他の3Dモデルに同じ作業を繰り返す前に、まず1つの3Dモデルで最初から最後までワークフローに問題がないことを確認したかったからだ。できるだけ時間を節約するために、できるだけ多くの失敗を一度にして、他のモデルでうまくいったステップだけを繰り返している！

少しずつ完成させています！

Animation Update | アニメの進捗:

I’m not sure how clear I made it in the previous update, but I’ll just quickly mention that I am currently working on an animation for a client. Legally I can’t mention more than that, but do know that it is taking time that would otherwise be used for making RandoWis original animations, hence the lack of original animations lately. My sincere apologies, but I hope you look forward to this next animation (which will be released in the near future)!

前回の更新でどれだけ分かりやすく説明できたか分かりませんが、現在、あるクライアントのためにアニメーションを制作していることを簡単に書いておきます。法律上、これ以上言及することはできませんが、RandoWisオリジナルのアニメーションを制作するために時間を割いていることは事実です。申し訳ないが、次のアニメーションを楽しみにしていてほしい！

My humblest apologies for the inconsistent updates and lack of content these past few weeks! I’m currently about to record the next RadioWis Podcast episode after this, and I hope to explain more then.

From the direction of RandoWis’ future to the intrusive thoughts that have been haunting me these past few months, I’d like to discuss them all.

What an anti-climatic way to end the year too; sick and late haha!

I’m sorry I couldn’t end 2024 with more enthusiasm and energy, especially for those of you who have supported me here for the time that you have, but know that I hope the year has been good to you, and that next year will have opportunities for you to succeed, just like the opportunities you allow me to have every year with your support. Know that I’m always grateful for your generosity here, and that my constant need to apologise is because I’m paranoid that I’m wasting your money with how slow that I am, even if you’re okay with it.

Hope you had a very Merry Christmas, and happier holidays ahead!
