Weekly update time!

My apologies for not making a weekly update last weekend! I got quite sick last week which lasted til early this week, so I couldn’t bring myself to make the previous update.

I intended to make a quick notification explaining everything last Thursday, but thought I might as well do so in this week’s update instead since it was so close to the weekend. I explain more below!

毎週更新の時間です!

先週末は週刊誌の更新ができず、申し訳ありませんでした！先週はかなり体調を崩してしまい、それが今週初めまで続いたので、前回の更新をする気になれなかった。

先週の木曜日にすべてを説明する簡単なお知らせをするつもりだったのですが、週末に近かったので、代わりに今週の更新で説明しようと思いました。以下に詳細を説明する！

MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

Despite the slight setback last week, I managed to make some progress on the MMO series!

I managed to finish inking most pages (around 20), and while I still a little left over, I guess it’s better than not making progress at all. I would have liked to begun colouring last week, but I’ll have to save that for next week.

Good chance that the chapter won’t be done by August, but I’ll try to make up for the slack next week and see what the new release date might be!

先週のちょっとした挫折にもかかわらず、MMOシリーズを少し進めることができた！

ほとんどのページ（約20ページ）のインクを塗り終えることができた。まだ少し残ってはいるが、まったく進まないよりはマシだろう。先週から色塗りを始めたかったけど、それは来週に取っておくことにしよう。

8月までにこの章が終わらない可能性は高いが、来週はその遅れを取り戻し、新しい発売日がどうなるか見てみることにしよう！

Animation Update | アニメの進捗:

I’ve decided that the next video for YouTube will be about my trip to Japan last year! I can’t really call it an animation because it uses real life footage, but it’ll have animated bits on quite a number of scenes! You can see some example screenshots below!

YouTubeの次のビデオは、昨年の日本旅行について作ることに決めた！実際の映像を使っているので、アニメーションとは呼べませんが、かなり多くのシーンでアニメーションの部分があります！下にスクリーンショットの例があります！

I plan to make a 3-video series about my trip. This time the video is a summary of my time in Osaka and Kyoto. In the future I will create a separate video for Tokyo, and then Hokkaido!

In total, this first video has around 130 scenes, but there’s only around 70 which require short animations. Despite the simplicity and short length of these animations, the sheer quantity of them is going to make finishing this project take a little longer than I’d like, but I’ll be sure to update you along the way!

私の旅について3本のビデオシリーズを作る予定だ。今回は大阪と京都のまとめ。将来的には、東京、そして北海道の別のビデオを作るつもりだ！

この最初のビデオには全部で130ほどのシーンがありますが、短いアニメーションが必要なのは70ほどです。これらのアニメーションはシンプルで短いにもかかわらず、その量が多いため、このプロジェクトを完成させるのに少し時間がかかりそうだが、途中で必ず更新するつもりだ！

As mentioned earlier, my apologies for not making an update last weekend!

Unfortunately the mild flu 2 weeks ago was a sign of worse things to come. Things got pretty bad (as a series of migraine attacks accompanied the flu) but thankfully it wasn’t covid. Still, these symptoms lasted a good 9-10 days. I considered visiting the hospital, but decided to power through it since it had already been several days by then and I wrongfully believed I would feel better the next day.

Now that the ordeal is over, I’m feeling much better. However, it did affect the amount of work I could do in a day, and so I’m sorry not as much was done!

In the previous update I did mention showing you some samples of the products that you can look forward to with the release of the new merchandise store coming soon. You can see them below here!

先に述べたように、先週末の更新をしなかったことをお詫びする！

残念ながら、2週間前の軽いインフルエンザは、これからもっと悪いことが起こる前兆だった。事態はかなり悪化したが（インフルエンザに伴って一連の偏頭痛発作が起きたため）、幸いなことにコビドではなかった。それでも、これらの症状は9～10日間続いた。病院に行くことも考えたが、その時にはすでに数日経っていたし、翌日には良くなっていると間違って信じていたので、力づくで乗り切ることにした。

試練が終わった今、気分はずっと良くなっている。ただ、1日にこなせる仕事の量には影響があったので、あまり仕事ができなかったのは残念だ！

前回の更新で、近々リリースされる新グッズショップの商品サンプルをお見せしました。以下からご覧いただけます！

If you're wondering why I'm showing the draft versions of these products it's because I don't want to risk leaks and plagiarism of the final product before my own launch. Surprisingly, I've found merch with my designs on Amazon despite never having sold there, which was really funny by the way, but forgive my precaution. I'll consider showing some finalised samples here shortly before the actual launch of the store, or maybe some better visualisations using mock ups, haha.

In the meantime, expect these faces and designs to be on stickers and mugs as well! I hope you look forward to these!

Also, just a reminder that I'll be focusing on the MMO series next week as per the new schedule!
