Weekly update time!

My apologies for the silence these past 2 weeks! Truth be told, I’ve been working on that latest YouTube video non-stop these past 14~15 days with the desire for a break being my motivation. Most of the past 2 weeks had been used to make the short animation clips you’ll see below.

I almost burnt out, as I can definitely feel a sense of gloom growing these past week. A gloom that’s all too familiar from not finishing projects fast enough. Now that things are more or less done though, I’m feeling better.

I explain more below!

毎週更新の時間です!

この2週間の沈黙をお詫びします！実を言うと、この14～15日間、休みたいという欲求を原動力に、ノンストップで最新のYouTube動画を制作していたのだ。この2週間の大半は、以下のショートアニメーションの制作に費やされた。

この1週間は、暗澹たる思いが募るばかりで、ほとんど燃え尽きてしまいそうだった。プロジェクトがなかなか終わらないことでおなじみの憂鬱だ。でも、多少なりとも片付いたので、気分は良くなっている。

MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

Chapter 16 has had its drafts already done last year. As I’ll be taking the next 2 weeks off, I won’t be making any progress for this chapter for the time being.

I will, however, be planning out how efficiently I can work on this to give you a rough estimate on its release! Til then, stay tuned!

Animation Update | アニメの進捗:

I was finally able to complete this video earlier today!

You can see the video here, however, note that it’s not public as I intend to make some corrections I happened to miss!

Within the video are animated bits around the 3 and 10 minute marks, those of which I have spent the past 2 weeks desperately trying to finish! I hope you like them!

There aren’t any practices recently sadly, and I apologise for that. I hope to change this as I recuperate in the coming weeks.

最近、悲しいことに練習がなくて申し訳ない。これから数週間、療養しながら変えていきたい。

Allow me a moment to reflect.

While I believe the plan was solid after coming back from Japan, it was just poor execution and priorities at the time which caused a domino effect in the long run. The backlog just seems to be never ending as the months go by, and we’re already in July.

I guess it all started with the final Puss plush animation I desperately wanted to finish last December, but couldn’t do so til April this year due to the motorcycle and car lessons I took around 4~5 times a week til late March this year (which was just an insane amount of mental and physical fatigue at the time now that I think about it). The events that led up to now are results of a butterfly effect, if I can say.

I’d like to take the next couple of weeks off, not just to rest and recover, but to also reflect and really analyse what went wrong in the beginning, and how I ended up here again.

I won’t be completely gone though! The next couple of weekly updates won’t really have much, but I’d like to catch up in making those timelapse videos, and also the next RadioWis episode. I won’t do any content though (animations or the MMO series), so as to properly take myself away from doing any actual work.

My plan is to review these past 7 months, revise the plan for RandoWis for the remainder of the year, get my habits in check, perhaps set up some rules for myself for RandoWis content, and come back with some vigor!

I hope to get myself fixed this next couple of weeks, but I hope this downtime isn’t too disappointing news for you.

Nonetheless, I thank you for your patience, understanding, and support all this time.

少し考えさせてほしい。

日本から帰ってきてからの計画はしっかりしていたと思うが、その時の実行力と優先順位が低かったために、長期的にはドミノ効果を引き起こした。月日が経つにつれ、バックログは終わりがないように見える。

昨年12月にどうしても完成させたかったプスのぬいぐるみアニメの最終作が、今年3月下旬まで週4～5回ほど通っていたバイクと車の教習（今思えばとんでもない精神的・肉体的疲労だった）のため、4月まで完成させることができなかったのがすべての始まりだったと思う。今に至る経緯は、バタフライエフェクトの結果と言ってもいい。

これから2、3週間は、ただ休んで回復するだけでなく、何がいけなかったのか、どうしてまたここに来ることになったのか、よく考えて分析したい。

とはいえ、完全にいないわけではない！次の週刊更新はあまりないだろうけど、タイムラプスビデオの制作に追いつきたいし、次のRadioWisのエピソードも作りたい。でも、アニメやMMOシリーズなどのコンテンツは一切やらない。

この7ヶ月を振り返り、今年のRandoWisの計画を見直し、自分の癖を直し、RandoWisのコンテンツのルールを決めて、また元気に戻ってくるつもりです！

この2、3週間で、私自身の癖を直したいと思っていますが、このダウンタイムが皆さんにとって残念なニュースでないことを願っています。

それにもかかわらず、今まで辛抱強く、理解し、サポートしてくれたことに感謝します。
