Finally completed this fun animation commission, a mix between traditional animation with some puppet rigging.. especially with the pearl beads. Parts were more challenging than expected, but I'm really happy with it! :D

Finally finished a drawing of Diane Foxington as one of the winners of the character poll from last February... yes, it took me this long~! ^^;
Originally was going have her wear one of her dresses from the film holding the ring she had, but the pose made it come across a bit too flirtatious, so I went with her Crimson Paw suit and one of the items she stole in a flashback. Now it's a little more playful, I think.

Wanted to kick things off and say that I am slowly working on drawing commissions, personal projects, and working freelance animation on the side.
Since March has been kind of sparse from me, I would like to pause Patreon pledges for April, so you should NOT be charged for this upcoming month. I will resume pledge support in May when hopefully I have more to share.

Design is mostly an original take, loosely based on some old concepts I had for a cancelled commission idea from a handful of years ago... think we wanted to go for a more Arabian vibe for her princess attire~!
Took the opportunity to not only do colored sketch lines, but experimented with adding flat colors.

Commission for long-time supporter, TotallyAdorbs, requesting my own OCs, Fem & Mahalina, about to share some cake after Fem fetched it from a nearby beach town.
Adorbs was especially eager to have Mahalina squeeze Fem's tail. While Fem prefers her personal space, she knows Mahalina is relatively harmless~!

What started as a little experiment evolved into a full body semi-rough animation of a random woman turning into a mermaid~! o_O
This took me longer to make because parts I did not plan to polish the roughs, I had to go back and fix those neglected parts so the whole thing works within the re-framing.
Also, for as along as I have been an animator, and known to draw mermaids (and occasionally mermaid TFs), I've never actually animated a mermaid transformation and so here it is~! ...
An upgrade commission for supporter, Z-ray, who has requested their OC, Lyn, as a marlin-style mermaid~!!

As part of a themed sketch stream I did last month, Cerys the Whale Shark mermaid meets Fem's mermaid friends~!
This was challenging to set up but a lot of fun to sketch other folks' OCs as part of the sketch. Plenty of room for more so hope we can get more mer OCs in there... also yes, there is a lamia snorkeling nearby~! :D

Here is the 3rd part of a little sketch comic of how Fem and Mahalina met Cerys, the Whale Shark Mermaid.
In an undersea lab, Fem asks her brother, Analyst who is a scientist, to find a way to undo the spell put on Cerys so she may return to her migration.

It was a challenging animation to make despite how simple the motion is. I wanted to stick to the art style of one of the references and also try out a new line brush. Experimental, but I am happy with it!

I was working on the 1st, full colored drawing of Cerys my new mermaid OC, but when I came back from short trip the PSD file I was working on got corrupted and lost the working file. This is all I have left of the drawing I was making. :(
I'll leave this as a members-only preview of what I was envisioning, but within the next month or two I'll see if I can recreate this and continue experimenting with the colors.

For a while it's mostly been Fem and Mahalina as the mermaid OC group of mine, and felt it's time to add someone to the group.
I have a special treat for ya... a sketch of a new Original Character, Cerys (pronounced Care-is) the whale shark mermaid.
Similar origin to Mahalina, Cerys was a regular whale shark that found herself transformed into a mermaid while maintaining her exceptional size. I'll soon upload a special sketch comic I made showing how she met Fem and Mahalina...

From left to right we got Antoinette & Enora (Valentine), Laura & Hayami (Anata Suru), and all by her lonesome self Grace (SrgntDrew)!
I think that's why Grace is so pouty~! Sarge left her by herself while everyone else has their partner... or maybe Gerome is on the side saying how cute and squishy her niman muzzle looks~!
