I managed to start working on chapter 17 of the MMO series! It’s not much progress as I ended up sacrificing a couple of days trying to finish up the RadioWis show assets, but still we’re inching ever so closely to the finish line. I only managed to work on the MMO series on Friday, hence being able to make only 3 pages of progress.

I hope this ‘RadioWis asset’ debacle hasn’t bummed you out too much in terms of the progress for the MMO chapters recently. Nonetheless, I’ll keep trying!

MMOシリーズ17章に取り掛かりました。RadioWisの番組資産を完成させるために数日犠牲にしてしまったので、あまり進んでいませんが、それでもゴールまであと少しです。今週は金曜日にしかMMOシリーズに手を付けられなかったので、3ページしか進まなかったのです。

この「RadioWisの番組資産」の失敗で、最近のMMOの章の進捗状況について、あまりがっかりしていないことを祈ります。とはいえ、これからも頑張ります！

I’ve made more progress for the next animation!

As you can see, I’ve managed to finish rotoscoping the main movements of the characters. That’s a lot of frames though! All that’s left is add their faces, hair, and clothes. It’s gonna be rough, and so far it has been.

ご覧の通り、キャラクターの主な動きのロトスコープを完成させることができました。しかし、フレーム数が多いですね。あとは顔や髪、服などを追加していくだけです。とはいえ、まだまだ荒削りです。

It’s not even done yet, but just keeping the consistency of this first face took almost a day, I’m scared to imagine what it’s gonna be like animating the clothes, let alone the hair. I’ll keep doing my best and update you next week though!

まだ完成していないのですが、この最初の顔の統一感を保つだけでほぼ1日かかってしまい、服や髪の毛のアニメーションを想像すると怖いです。でも、来週は頑張って更新しますよ！

Now for another update on RadioWis!

I spent Monday and Tuesday finishing the final look for the looping background of the RadioWis show. Here’s what it looks like!

As for the opening animation, I spent a little more time tweaking it and reaching this final draft.

Unfortunately, by the time I was satisfied with these final iterations, it was the end of Tuesday. I’ll continue making progress for the next animation, while finishing up the RadioWis show opening by next week.

Most of this week was spent on animations, as you can see.

I do apologise for taking more time to make the RadioWis assets than it should have. I’ll only need to make these assets once (or so I tell myself) so I want them to be good, however, a part of me struggles to stop working on them even when they’re good enough, and this contributes to the extra time it takes. I am trying to cut down on that, but as I do, do know that I am grateful for the patience and kindness you’re sharing with me.

I’d also like to address the ‘T-Shirt discount’ issue I’ve been meaning to deal with these past couple of weeks. I’ll make a post explaining the situation sometime next week, but the discount code should be working by the next weekly update.
