Highlight-35 Horror on the Orient Express

In 2013, our investigators receive an email. They have just won a trip on the luxurious Orient Express train. The contest is organized by John Milton, the famous CEO of the start-up company Lux-Vista.

This Highlight is the last one for the campaign Horror on the Orient Express.
It covers the final chapter, The Simulacrum Unbound, set in 2013.

Also, a few additions: you will find the tokens for this chapter, the tokens for the passengers on the train (for the 1923 era), and three maps relating to Chapter 18 in London in 1923.

Chapter 18 (additions):
02-Bookbinders Arms - (3990 × 2520px) - [210x210px]
03-Bookbinders Arms-Cellar - (3990 × 2520px) - [210x210px]
04-Clothing Store - (2520 × 5250px) - [210x210px]
04b-Clothing Store-NIGHT - (2520 × 5250px) - [210x210px]

Chapter 19 - 2013:
01-Hilton Hotel-GF - (6580 × 7560px) - [140x140px]
01b-Hilton Hotel-GF-NIGHT - (6580 × 7560px) - [140x140px]
02-Hilton Hotel-1F - (3360 × 2240px) - [140x140px]
02b-Hilton Hotel-1F-NIGHT - (3360 × 2240px) - [140x140px]
03-Buda Castle-Garden - (6300 × 4200px) - [210x210px]
04-Buda Castle-Labyrinth - (4200 × 7000px) - [210x210px]
05-Railroad Tunnel - (2100 × 8400px) - [210x210px]
05b-Railroad Tunnel-Portal - (2100 × 8400px) - [210x210px]
06-The Shunned Mosque - (8400 × 6300px) - [140x140px]

1/ Maps for Chapter 18
The Bookbinder
and the Clothing Store have been added. However, it is highly unlikely that your investigators will visit them, as the priority is to get to Makryat's store. But you never know...

2/ The Hilton hotel is a contemporary hotel, nothing particularly interesting... but with all the modern comforts. It's definitely the place where your investigators will get to know the NPCs best. There's some drama going on there, which you can interact with.

3/ Buda Castle is one of the places to visit on the trip. I chose it because it's a place where something happens. But it symbolizes all the tourist sites visited during this trip.

The labyrinth of Buda Castle, as it is called, is not really a labyrinth. It is a vast maze of wide tunnels with a few rooms. It was used as a hospital during World War II.

4/The Railroad Tunnel is where brick walls prevent you from leaving, unless you use the portal, which sends you to the Shunned Mosque.

5/ The Shunned Mosque, in its 2013 version, is the location chosen by our antagonist to perform his ritual. It has been redesigned for this chapter, with more dilapidation and the Portal now visible.

6/ Tokens
You will also find the latest batch of tokens.
• The “Strangers on the Train” tokens, which feature a host of unknown characters to liven up your train during the main journey of the 1923 campaign.
• The 2013 NPC tokens.
• The 2013 PC tokens are completely fictional, as they are not mentioned in the book.

This highlight concludes the Horror on the Orient Express campaign.
The Beta pack containing everything I've done so far will be available online very soon.
I'll also be doing a sort of debrief of all this work to share my thoughts.

Thank you! I'm delighted to hear that these maps will be used for something other than HOE. That's also why they were designed. :)

These are *wonderful*. I'm not planning on running ORIENT EXPRESS, but there is definitely some Achtung! Cthulhu in my future, and the maps of dozens of clearly European buildings, apartments, streets and shops will be invaluable. Thank you so much for making those so much easier.

Thanks, Michael! Yes, the beta version with everything included will be available very soon. I don't want to give a specific date because I don't know when it will be. But I'll try to get it done this week or next weekend.

Thank you Thomas! However, I'm not sure which entry you're referring to. Are you referring to the notes I make on Patreon posts?

You've done such magnificent work. Thanks for making us keepers look so professional. Is there any chance you could have one pdf with all of your notes about each map that are on each individual entry?

Thomas Nelson

So awesome, congrats on finishing! Is there a way to download the whole thing at once?
