Winter-time power outage test

***UPDATE*** I made a few changes including adding Celsius figures, but more importantly I added a whole new section at the end where I demonstrate the detector I was using isn't very accurate.

OK, this is the last of the "2023 projects" finally finished.  So, from this point onwards I'll be focusing most videos on documentaries about old computers and game consoles.

This winter-time test was really tough because there was no sun the whole day due to a dark overcast, which if anything made it more interesting.

Still working on thumbnails and subtitles, as usual.  I should have those done tomorrow.

I really liked this video - whenever I watch any solar or battery people making videos, they're always unrealistic or they have some insane setup that no one actually has or can afford. This would be on the very high end of anything I'd consider, so it's good to see how it performs in real world conditions, and if it would be worth it or not.

How is your home normally heated when on main power? I'm not familiar with how homes are built in your area. I ask because i recently modified our HVAC system to allow for a battery backup or generator to be used to power everything while gas is used to provide the heat. Fan draws around 700ish watts for the entire home which is efficient when compared to space heaters.
