Quarx Part 2 - C64 and PET Challenges

OK, so the video is done. But at the end it mentions it is available for pre-order now. But that is not the case yet. But, it will be by the time the video goes live to the world in a few days. I'm still waiting on a few items so I can get proper pictures of the final product for the website.

I made a new VIC-20 game - Quarx

How the Hercules Graphics Card Works

UPDATE 10-21-2025: Several minor mistakes were discovered in the video, so I made a few edits before releasing to the whole world. It's probably not worth re-watching for them for most of you. However, if you made comments on the actual youtube video, you might want to go re-make those comments on the new one.

Very Quick Solar Update!

I'm not sure if I'll release this on Youtube to general audiences, as it's really short and not my usual style. But a lot of people have been asking for solar updates, and this is the only one I have.

Updates to X16, Arcade, and Petscii Robots

This is a fun video just showing updates to a bunch of my hobby projects. It will be going live later this evening because I need the announcement about the convention in South Carolina to have a little extra time, if people need to make plans.

Alternate Universe VIC-20

In this episode I explore an alternate universe where the Commodore 64 never existed.

Two Rare IBM Sound Cards

Let's take a look at the IBM Music Feature Card and the IBM PS/2 Speech Adapter, both of which came out in 1987.

Subtitles and thumbnail to come later.

Self Driving Car? Yes, it works!

Well, here it is. Started on this back in 2024. I think everyone here was excited to see this video, except for one very vocal Patron who made his case, and then left.

As usual, a proper thumbnail and subtitles will be coming in the next day or two.

Self-Driving trip to Dallas

David Lovett (from Usagi Electric) and I take a trip to downtown Dallas using full-self driving. This is a 40 minute contiguous un-edited video. I'll be using clips from this in the main video (still in the works), but I'm also going to keep this full unedited video online as well, because I suspect there will be people claiming I faked the drive, and thus if anyone has any doubt, they can watch this in its entirety.

That being said, we have a lot of fun chatting about the technolog...

Patreon-Only March Update

In this video I talk about the Arcade, the new Gen-2 X16, My wife's injury, and the upcoming video on Tesla's Full-Self-Driving ability.

Franklin Ace Computers

UPDATE: I've reuploaded the video. I reworked the area starting at 15:20. I've actually added a bit of trivia about the Williams Defender lawsuit, and removed any AI generated content. All of the drawings were done by hand, my hand specifically... so hopefully that eliminates the complaints. If all is well, I plan to release tomorrow.

I finally found a good reason to use that IIgs upgrade kit that was donated to me years ago.

Quick video for the time rift channel showing a somewhat unique problem with our vintage consoles and computers, and the solution I implemented to fix it.

Making Space Invaders Wall Art

A little something I did at the arcade. This will go live in a few days.

I have a nifty Apple II related video in the works. I was hoping to have it done by the end of the year, but looks like that isn't happening. Unfortunately, I've been at the arcade nearly 7 days a week for the last few weeks. Mostly because arcade machines keep breaking down as fast as we can fix them. Hopefully the machines will give us a break soon.

How Atari 8-Bit Computers Work

Here it is, finally! I've been working on this technically for years. But I brought it to the front burner about 6 weeks ago. I was really hoping to have it done before the end of November, but I ended up with bronchitis a few weeks ago and lost my voice for nearly 2 weeks, so I couldn't record anything.

EDIT - Sorry I had accidentally rendered this in 720p and nobody noticed until it went live on YouTube. So I had to pull it down and re-upload. I forgot to change the link on Patreon ...

We Built an Arcade!

Well, this video has been 2.5 years in the making. I think once you see this, it will become clear why my video output has been so low the last few months. But also, the light is at the end of the tunnel, so hopefully video production will go back up soon. Anyway, I hope you guys are able to come by the arcade if you are in Texas!

Big news for the Commander X16

I have been saving up a lot of news this year for VCF Midwest. And I had planned to use that presentation as the source of this video, but I decided to just refilm everything at home so that it would flow faster and so it would be easier to see the new hardware. Subtitles are done. Still working on a thumbnail.

Updates on Videos, Arcade, X16, and maybe Autism?

Sorry about the audio quality. For some bizarre reason there was a static like noise in the recording that I didn't notice until time to edit. I'm not sure where it came from. So, I used some filters to remove it, but it did reduce the audio quality some.

The 6502 CPU

Well, I've been working on this video for about 3 months. It went through 3 script re-writes. And for some reason it still doesn't really capture what I wanted it to be. But I hope you will like it anyway. This probably won't go live until Wednesday. Maybe even later if you guys find any errors that need to be fixed, as I'll be gone most of the day tomorrow.
