Since this is a throwback, I’m guessing it will all depend how he decides to package it. Only MY OPINION, nothing more, Rudy has to balance having it available for enough Patreons and not lose out on expense of shipping costs and product costs. Because of this, I would expect it to be at least 2 boxes, perhaps higher. I could even see him potentially bundling it with other Collector’s boxes to help move other product and decrease demand / increase supply (has happened for prior sales).

As an American there could be literally billions of people on the other side of the world extremely upset about something and I might never hear a peep about it. And while the game is fantasy, certain cards clearly borrowed from real world events like Crusade.. I might view that card differently if the area I lived in had been shaped by hundreds of years of religious wars, seems like that might take me OUT of the fantasy escape that MTG is supposed to provide.

Context info: feb. 1st event: Huge line out the door to get to Pokemon cards. About 40 tables(vendors). Almost no sealed product or new card singles. Feb 15, very large venue of 100 plus tables. Hot singles sold out by early noon. Some new sealed product until around about 1pm then only obviously miss priced sealed on the wall. Feb. 22: mall event with about 30 tables for Pokemon. Multiple large boxes 151 and sv era booster bundles. Literal 100 plus counts of 151 booster bundles fresh out of original sealed cases. Multiple tables with multiple sv series ETB and booster boxes. Multiple tables with 10 plus Japanese booster boxes per modern series. . . NO ONE’s buying sealed product. Almost immediately people are taking off 5 percent below market price to adjust for everyone having same product. 2 hours later I’m seeing market price asked but accepting 5-10 percent under. Sealed still not selling well at all(like not moving and people working hard to make a deal). Went to lunch and came back at 1pm. Picked up at 15 percent off market price on two good looking sealed sword and shield era booster boxes. And 15 percent off surging sparks Japanese booster boxes. Left at 2pm. Conclusion- New sets sealed product demand is “saturated”. Notes about Singles: insane amount of singles on the market at event! why buy sealed when you buy the singles you want right there? It was weird watching the newly created demand side figure out singles are a better bet with new product and yet still not know how to navigate singles. Rudy probably gonna need to do a few video’s on singles. After the event I went to my LGS that I support and got there allotted number for journey together booster boxed on launch day. Then I went home and opened all 8 of my surging sparks booster boxes. I predict the journey together launch will be when people really start figuring out the supply and demand situation. Key takeaway: Be fearful when markets are greedy. Be greedy when markets are fearful. Other notes: one blatant Pokemon fake single table and no one caring cause seller is selling “custom” Pokemon cards and products and priced as such. One seller obviously moving uncontrolled single packs and replenishing old booster boxes. Please people, If it doesn’t come from a booster box then don’t sell it like it did. Pick up my first Pokemon center exclusive to china product. A just in case and wouldn’t it be cool if I had one type of purchase.

2025-02-22 04:35:55 +0000 UTCThe SV08 is just a code for the expansion Scarlet & Violet (SV) and the number of the released set, so 08 would be Surging Sparks, 09 is Journey Together. Some of the released sets are considered "Special Expansions" and such as 151 and Prismatic Evolutions where they aren't full sets, but a smaller special set, and usually have a code ending in .5, like Prismatic Evolutions is technically 8.5.

I'm sure the packs are completely fine after hearing the responses here. I just wasn't sure what to expect as I may be waiting a few months before opening any of the boxes I've purchased. Potentially holding onto them for a while and seeing if the prices rise.

I will probably at least open the box with the corner dent on it. I have never bought a case or entire booster box before and opened it, so I did not know that is how packs inside a booster box are suppose to sit in there. It just looked indented enough where I thought a few packs may possibly be damaged. I will keep that in mind moving forward though!

While it is unappealing to the eye, it is near impossible actually damage packs/cards due to the design of booster boxes.they are intended to move inside the box. If you are wanting cleaner boxes with lower probability of dings/dents for keeping sealed, then double box is the option for you. If you just want to open packs, save the $10

The way to handle this is unfortunately take the L man, and double box moving forward. I get that you read the opinion of others but these are the questions to ask Rudy beforehand of his recommendations based on your possible concerns.

When it arrived, I had noticed the exterior of the case was a bit banged up on one of the corner's. I wanted to save opening the case for content on my youtube channel and when I had opened it, one of the boxes was banged up on the corner. I'm worried about the integrity of the few packs inside of the box. Have any of you guys ever had this issue before and how do you go about handling it? I had thought about getting my order double boxed, but I had seen others who were also new ask the same question and it was suggested that it wouldn't be necessary unless you planned on keeping the case sealed.

So start with the older ones like Lost Ixalan. Pick up the Wilds of Eldraine limit 1. That is out of print now. Then just decide on what to mix. I would go 3 Lost Ixalan, 1 Wilds, 2 Bloomburrow Play. Then next month hit up Foundations and Duskmourn and see if he has any more Lost Ixalan or Wilds.

I would reco simply packing the cards up in a way you feel is safe and simply placing them in a box with a shipping label with your order #. Some people use top loaders with sleeves, other people use Card Savor I but anything is fine

They are normally limited to 2 boxes per release with magic. You can look at the previous sale posts, but overall there are 2 types of sale posts that happen on the schedule...if supply is very low, i require patrons to comment on the sale post to track the orders. All other normal sales, are first come, first serve on sending paypal payments. As for cheap magic boxes, whatever you see above on the main post is in stock all month.
